SANTA CLARITA DIET Preview: This Family Slays (and Stays) Together
In SANTA CLARITA DIET, realtors Joel and Sheila Hammond are living a normal life in the suburbs of L.A. when Shiela mysteriously dies, vomits up her insides and then continues “living” as a member of the undead.
But things take a horrible turn for the worst when Sheila starts snacking on body parts. Her husband is understandably upset, but Sheila has never more energy or felt better. So along with their teenaged daughter Abby, the family bands together to kill very bad people and continue getting Sheila the sustenance she needs to survive.
SANTA CLARITA DIET debuts its first season on Netflix on February 3.

SANTA CLARITA DIET Preview: Definitely Not Your Typical Diet
Drew Barrymore and Timothy Olyphant are teaming up for a new Netflix series — SANTA CLARITA DIET — and here’s the completely innocent show synopsis provided by the streaming service: “In SANTA CLARITA DIET, Joel (Timothy Olyphant, Justified) and Sheila (Drew Barrymore, Blended) are husband and wife realtors leading vaguely discontented lives in the L.A. suburb of Santa Clarita with their teenaged daughter Abby (Liv Hewson), until Sheila goes through a dramatic change sending their lives down a road of death and destruction…but in a good way.”
But here’s what the summary doesn’t tell you — this is actually a zombie show. Two previews for the shows below reveal that Sheila’s new diet seems to consist of snacking on people.
SANTA CLARITA DIET will be available for streaming on Netflix on February 3.
