The Karate Kid turns to Hilda for help in his run for office, while a member of the Meade dynasty is kidnapped even as Mode’s fate hangs in the balance.

PARKS AND RECREATION (8:30PM NBC, 9PM City in Canada)
Leslie makes a lasting impression at a banquet honoring her mom. Not a good one, mind you…

GREY’ S ANATOMY (9PM ABC, CTV in Canada)
Remember when the Chief’s niece was hospitalized before her prom back in season 2? Tonight, it’s a group of college students who wind up at Seattle Grace following a car accident that occurs on the way to their graduation ceremony. On, and there’s much, much talk of Meredith and Derek’s upcoming wedding.

THE OFFICE (9PM NBC, Global in Canada)
You know, if there’s one person on this planet you’d expect not to know that disco is dead, it’s Michael Scott. Tonight, he proves that to be the case by bringing dance music to the office.

SUPERNATURAL (9PM CW)
The apocalypse is coming! The apocalypse is coming! Unfortunately, Sam’s kinda tied up, what with having to detox from demon blood and all.

Exclusive: Creator Sean Smith Talks GREEK

On our recent trip to Los Angeles, the TV Addict was lucky enough to be given a tour of the set of GREEK by Scott Michael Foster (Cappie), Dilshad Vadsaria (Rebecca) and Sean Smith.

Now, I know what you’re thinking, “Sean, Who?”

Well, Smith may not be a household name like a Whedon or an Abrams just yet, but give him time. After-all, he’s had some pretty good on-the-job training, parlaying a writing assistant gig on EVERWOOD, to full-fledged writing assignments with SUPERNATURAL and SUMMERLAND; Culminating in a hit show of his very own — GREEK on ABC Family.

Which is what we’re here to talk about, as Smith was kind enough to not only take myself (alongside fellow bloggers Kathie, Amrie and Rae) on a tour of the set of GREEK, but answer some burning questions about what fans can expect as GREEK’s fourth chapter comes to a close.

WHAT WE’RE WATCHING:
CASTLE (10PM ABC)
The death of a socialite leads to Beckett attending a charity ball as Castle’s date. Talk about finding a way to turn a frown upside down!

CHUCK (8PM ABC)
Scott Bakula returns as Chuck’s dad, who finds himself in need of rescue. As if that weren’t enough, Chevy Chase also puts in an appearance and Morgan becomes a Buy More outcast.

GOSSIP GIRL (8PM CW)
If Serena returns from Spain still moping about Dan, I will personally slap her. Hard. Meanwhile, Blair might just prove herself the self-sabotage queen when she makes a secret pact behind new beau Nate’s back. And expect mugging and eye-rolling galore when Dan winds up having to literally serve his rich peers.

NEW & NOTABLE:
THE BIG BANG THEORY (8PM CBS)
Yes, it’s a rerun, but it also offers valuable help in solving one of life’s biggest mysteries as Sheldon tries to figure out gift-giving etiquette.

THE BIG BANG THEORY (8PM CBS, CTV in Canada)
Ugly Betty’s first beau, Kevin Sussman decides to step up his game and romance Penny.

CHUCK (8PM NBC, CityTV in Canada)
If CHUCK does get the ax, it certainly won’t be due to a lack of promotable guest stars. Tonight, Chuck looks to his double-crossing ex-girlfriend Jill (Jordana Brewster) to help rescue his father (Scott Bakula) who has been abducted by Fulcrum forces (Chevy Chase). Meanwhile, at the Buy More, the nerd herd tries to derail a corporate evaluation supervised by Emmett (ARRESTED DEVELOPMENT’s Tony Hale)

GREEK (8PM ABC Family)
Casey wants Max and Cappie to get along, so she seeks advice from special guest star Janeane Garofalo. Who, you know, has a great track record at getting along with people (see: Bill O’Reilly)

HOW I MET YOUR MOTHER (8:30PM CBS, E! in Canada)
Have you met Ted’s new intern? Well, you will tonight when he sets up his very own architectural firm in his apartment.

CASTLE (10PM ABC)
It’s the case of yet another killer with little-to-no imagination who quite literally takes a page from one of Castle’s best-selling books. This time, it’s a ritualistic killing that draws Beckett and Castle into the world of Vodun, a mysterious religion Castle researched for a previous book.

SCRUBS (8PM ABC, CityTV in Canada)
Good News: The Janitor and Lady plan a fake wedding in the Bahamas in an effort to score gifts. Bad News: The plot backfires when all of the invitees accept.

LOST (9PM ABC, “A” in Canada)
Finally, one LOST mystery definitively solved: Ben is not Jewish. How else to explain the fact that he decided to call upon good Ol’ reliable smokey [monster] to atone for his sins on Passover rather than Yom Kippur!

AMERICAN IDOL (9PM FOX, CTV in Canada)
Moments before one of the remaining IDOL contestants [cough*cough*Scott MacIntyre*cough] has their dreams crushed in front of an audience of millions, Kellie Pickler performes the song “Best Days of Your Life.” Awkward.

THE UNUSUALS (10PM ABC, GlobalTV in Canada)
Has LIFE ON MARS ruined New York City-set police dramas for eternity? By which we mean, has Det. Casey Shraeger (Amber Tamblyn) really transferred from vice to homicide? Or will she awaken in sixteen episodes only to discover that it was all a dream and that it turns out she’s actually locked inside a cryogenic chamber on her way to Mars. Stay tuned…

WHAT WE’RE WATCHING:
CHUCK (8PM NBC, CityTV in Canada)
With THE BIG BIG BANG THEORY, HOW I MET YOUR MOTHER and GOSSIP GIRL all airing old episodes tonight, it’s CHUCK versus the REPEATS. Which means you really have no excuse not to tune into tonight’s brand new episode that has Chuck coming face-to-face with his TV dad played by Scott Bakula.

GREEK (8PM ABC Family)
When Casey and Ashleigh begin to doubt Rebecca’s work as a mole and suspect that she may be a double agent for Frannie, we begin to wonder if the GREEK writers may have spent a little too much time watching 24 on their hiatus.

SURVIVING SUBURBIA (9:30PM ABC, CityTV in Canada)
If Bob Saget wanted to distance himself from his roots on FULL HOUSE, he sure succeeded: he’s gone from in-over-his-head doting father to a cad of a ne’er do well husband. That wouldn’t be so bad if SURVIVING SUBURBIA wasn’t like every mid-’90s sitcom that already ended (or was canceled). Perhaps Saget should stick to stand-up and his narrator gig on HOW I MET YOUR MOTHER, both of which are far funnier than this. — Aleks Chan

CASTLE (10PM ABC)
A woman found frozen at a construction side leads Beckett and Castle to reopen a cold case. COLD CASE, really? You’d think a best-selling author like Richard Castle would know a thing or two about plagiarism, we’re just sayin’

Off the Chart: TheTVaddict.com Week in Review

1. 90210: That noise you just heard was 90210 finally getting interesting thanks to the introduction of Naomi’s new fast and furious guy candy (can we trademark that moniker?) Liam and Silver, who went from zero-to-crazy in less than sixty minutes.

2. LIFE ON MARS: As much as we’d like to applaud executive producers Josh Appelbaum, Scott Rosenberg and André Nemec for ending the American version of LIFE ON MARS on their own terms, it would help if we had a better understanding as to what exactly those terms were.

3. SUPERNATURAL: Regardless of whether you’re a “Sam Girl” or a “Dean Girl,” this TV Addict’s fairly confident that neither camp is complaining about Thursday’s seriously meta and super hilarious installment of SUPERNATURAL.

4. FRIDAY NIGHT LIGHTS: From the gut-wrenching play that lost the Dillon Panthers the State Championship in the closing seconds of the game to Tyra Collete’s heartbreaking college entrance essay, FRIDAY NIGHT LIGHTS continues to be the best show on television nobody is watching.

ER Series Finale: The Good, Bad & Ugly

The Good: By starting off the night’s “final ER event” with a retrospective featuring interviews from cast members both new and old, NBC did a remarkable job of ensuring that this TV Addict was in the proper frame of mind for my long awaited return to County General. So much so that by the time the opening notes of the show’s now iconic theme song played, I was pretty much in full-blown nostalgia mode, fighting off the urge during commercial breaks to order seasons 1 thru 10 on Amazon.

Much like the show’s groundbreaking series premiere, the John Wells penned finale offered up a frantic day-in-the-life in the “ER”, which provided every cast member, from stars like Dr. Gates (John Stamos), Sam Taggert (Linda Cardellini) and Dr. Morris (Scott Grimes) to familiar bit players such as Chuney (Laura Ceron), Haleh (Yvette Freeman), Frank (Troy Evans) and Jerry (Abraham Benrubi) with a moment to shine. Especially Frank, who quite possibly had the night’s most memorable moment upon realizing that the young girl standing before him was none other than Dr. Greene’s grown up daughter Rachel who had dropped by the “ER” to apply for a medical internship.

Adding to the nostalgia factor were the return of original series stars Peter Benton (Eriq La Salle), Kerry Weaver (Laura Innes), Susan Lewis (Sherry Stringfield) and Elizabeth Corday (Alex Kingston) who were all on hand to witness John Carter (Noah Wyle) opening the doors of the Joshua Carter Center for Medicine.
