Mike Delfino may be a man of few words, but his portrayer James Denton is all talk. Which was certainly good news for this TV Addict who was recently given the opportunity to chat with the affable actor about all things DESPERATE HOUSEWIVES. Will Mike and Susan get their happily-ever-after? What’s the mood on the set as the show prepares to say goodbye? And what’s next for the man who has spent the better part of the past decade playing America’s favorite handyman? Find out for yourself after the jump. [Read more…]

Hangin’ With THE GOOD WIFE
Not just anyone gets invited to hang out at Alicia Florrick’s apartment, let alone when THE GOOD WIFE is in the middle of a tense scene with Jackie, the mother-in-law who is part blessing (hello, babysitter!) and part curse (nosey much?). But during a recent visit to the CBS hit’s Brooklyn studio, that’s exactly where this TV Addict found himself. And it was during my stint as the proverbial fly on the wall that I got an up-close and personal view of exactly what goes into the making of not a show, but a single scene.
How hard can it be, right? [Read more…]
A Candid Conversation with PSYCH Creator Steve Franks
As if the sixth season premier of PSYCH is not enough to get everyone excited, in a recent conference call with press, creator and executive producer Steve Franks provided a bit more insight into his dream PSYCH episodes and what he hopes for in the (cross-your fingers!) show’s seventh season.
James Roday alluded to the seasonal finale of Season 6 as having a big cliffhanger. If the series is not picked up for Season 7, would you conclude the show with a movie or something like that?
STEVE: It was sort of a natural. When we’re finishing up the season finale, we had something big planned that we didn’t think work well enough and something we sort of saved. And as we looked at the way the story is developing, along the course we found like a really, really cool cliffhanger, and we ended up shooting that as our finale. So if we don’t get a Season 7, I think we could create a situation where fans would want a riot on Wall Street as well. So it was only after the fact that when I watched it, I’m like “Oh my God. There’s no way they can’t pick us up for a Season 7 now.” But I’m always thinking about the movie. And actually, when we go in to talk to the executives, I don’t know if it would be on the table. But I have not only a way we could do the movie, but I have sort of the world and the story of it. So I would want to do a Season 7 and a movie. That would make me happy. And I want to make sure if we do the movie, we all need to get on the same page. If we do the movie, I’d want it to be something that was in theaters, even if it’s a small run in theater and not just do a direct to video, like a double episode of the show. I’d want it to feel special. I’d want it to feel like it was something that was worthy of being in the theaters. I think we have something that’s really fun. Making the money and the schedule to work out is always a challenge with these things. But for me it’s like I come from features. I structure our show every week, like you’re seeing an hour-long summer popcorn movie. So I don’t think the leap to the big screen is that far for our show. And it would make this experience even greater than it’s been. So I’m going to be pushing for the movie in the off-season and I’ll be pushing for a Season 7. We’ll see if I get both. [Read more…]

3:02PM: Bad News ‘Mikita’ Fans! According to Kim, there are some good obstacles coming up for Michael and Nikita, really adult problems that are going to challenge them. Teased Maggie, “Normally if something happens between a couple there is always a side to take, but this problem upcoming is that big of a problem and one that may tear Michael and Nikita apart.” Oh, and while we’re on the subject of problems we should probably mention that an upcoming episode of the show involves a beautiful women from Michael’s past who reaches out to him for assistance named Cassandra. The Pick-Up-Palooza Continues with HART OF DIXIE and THE SECRET CIRCLE Getting Full Season Orders
Remember earlier in the day when we bemoaned the lack of full-season-pick-up news for the likes of such TV Addict favorites as REVENGE, HART OF DIXIE and HAPPY ENDINGS. Well, we’ve got some good news and some bad news for you. Unfortunately, the same can’t be said for ABC’s REVENGE and HAPPY ENDINGS, both of whose cast and creative team will be force to continue to wait on pins and needles for their back-nine episode pick-up. Stay tuned.

Today’s TV Addict Top 5: Questions with HART OF DIXIE Star Scott Porter
Don’t hate Scott Porter because he’s beautiful, hate him because his “job” involves pretending to be in love with both Rachel Bilson and Jaime King on the hit new CW series HART OF DIXIE. As George Tucker, the man caught between his feelings for his life-long friend and fiancée Lemon Breeland (King) and the adorable and alluring newcomer that is Dr. Zoe Hart (Bilson), Porter has his hands full. Or at least that was our takeaway from our recent one-on-one with the former FRIDAY NIGHT LIGHTS star who was kind enough to take a few minutes to chat up what life is like in the fictional, fantastical and awfully flirty town of Bluebell Alabama.
