First Look: BATTLESTAR GALACTICA Season Four

What can I really tell you about Friday’s fourth and final season premiere of BATTLESTAR GALACTICA? Not nearly as much as I’d like to.

Don’t get me wrong, this TV Addict has got oodles to say about the return of a certain fighter pilot, the newest four members of the Cylon family and the ever-increasingly bizarre actions of one Giaus Baltar. Yet my lips shall remain sealed thanks to the confidentially agreement I was obligated to sign with the SCI FI Network before they would even consider sending me the GALACTICA screener!

No joke. If I even dare mention any of the “Oh No He [or She or It] Didn’t” moments that take place during the episode’s final fifteen minutes, I’m pretty sure that SCI FI has the right to show up at my doorstep and take possession of my dog, TV and future first born.

That said, here is what I can reveal. While BATTLESTAR GALACTICA fans will by no means be let down come Friday at 10PM. Fans might be disappointed to discover that episode scribes David Weddle and Bradley Thompson take a page from the LOST playbook. Raising far more questions than they do answers.

TV Addict Interview: Amy Davidson

The latest original offering airing on Lifetime Movie Network this weekend is their first miniseries. “The Capture of the Green River Killer” tells the true story of the 20-year search for the most prolific serial killer in US history. The miniseries stars Tom Cavanaugh (“Ed”), as detective Dave Reichert, the man who persevered to bring an end to this extraordinary case. The story is told through the eyes of a runaway, named Helen (“Hel”) Remus, played so inspiringly well by Amy Davidson (perhaps most recognizable for her role on “8 Simple Rules”). Amy was kind enough to sit down and answer some questions for us about her role, her close ties to her “8 Simple Rules” family, and why this story needed to be told.

What about this mini-series for LMN drew you in? The other cast members, the writing, the network?
Amy Davidson: I would have to say the story for sure drew me in. It was one of those scripts that I couldn’t put down. And it was a long one! My character Hel was an absolute dream role for me. I had been wanting a role that would expand me as a person and as an actress. I’ve always wanted to do a lifetime movie. And here I booked LMN’s first miniseries. That was such a bonus!

What does a viewer need to know about your character, Hel, before watching the mini-series?
Hel asks the questions that I think we all want answers to. At least I know I want the answers. When we first meet her, she’s an innocent girl who just wants to be loved. And as the story progresses we see the toll life takes on her. She starts to go in a downward spiral and it’s just heartbreaking.

An AMERICAN IDOL Exits: The Chikezie Interview

After getting the ax on Wednesday, Chikezie spent Thursday facing a fate far worse than Simon Cowell — television reporters. The following is what Chikezie had to say about his AMERICAN IDOL experience, the now infamous IDOL mosh pit and of course, his Grammy aspirations.

Along with David Cook you were one of the season’s biggest risk takers in terms of song choice and selection. I was curious about your take on both ‘She’s a Woman’ and ‘I’ve Just Seen a Face’. Did you have any idea that they would play out as they did with the judges as far as reception and would you make the same risks again if you had the chance?
Chikezie: I had absolutely no clue how the judges would feel about it and I think that was why I did it because if I knew how they would respond then, it wouldn’t be as much fun.

Chikezie, you always seem to be one of the most joyous contestants I’ve seen in any area. You always seem to be smiling and happy. Is that real? Are you really that happy of a guy or are you just a guy who kind of smiles when he’s nervous?
I don’t smile– I tend to wear my emotions on my face most of the time so if I’m nervous, you can usually tell. I’d probably be like sweating without doing any kind of work, but I tend to be pretty happy because I just feel se blessed to be in this position – to have this opportunity. I’m really, really blessed.

TV Addict Interview: GREEK Star Scott Michael Foster

In anticipation of the return of GREEK tonight on ABC Family, actor Scott Michael Foster was kind enough to take time out of his busy schedule to talk about what it’s like playing everybody’s favorite frat boy Cappie.

Why did you want to play Cappie and why do you like playing Cappie and what about this role is good for you to want to play it, to be it?
Scott Michael Foster: Cappie is a fun loving party animal. I would like to think of myself as a person who can get parties started, but I’m not. I will enjoy parties and attend them, but I’m never the guy who can get them going. So playing a character like that is a lot fun, to be the person in charge of a fun party atmosphere. It was kind of cool to live in those shoes for a moment, that’s why it’s a lot of fun for me to play him.

My question is about Cappie and Casey. I was wondering how their relationship is going to evolve now.
In season two, Cappie and Casey, they sort of have busy lives apart from each other. Cappie is involved with Rebecca, as you see at the end of season one, and their relationship blooms in season two. Casey is busy with becoming interim president at Theta Beta, so they don’t ever get a chance to sort of talk or assess their situation. So you won’t see much in season two with them, but their time will come.

TV Addict Interview: LIPSTICK JUNGLE Star Robert Buckley

Fans of NBC’s LIPSTICK JUNGLE have completely fallen for Robert Buckley, aka Kirby Atwood, aka Nico’s hotter-than-hot man-on-the-side. He has charm, charisma, and isn’t hard to look at! In celebration of Lipstick Jungle’s first season finale, I spent some time chatting with Rob about the show, where he wants to see his character go, and the real reason he was upset that the writers went on strike.

I want to just start by saying that I have completely gotten hooked on the show in recent weeks, and I really like your character.
Robert Buckley: Oh thank you! It’s funny. I told everyone, all my friends who started watching it, stick with the show because it really picks up momentum. I think we’re seeing it now, a lot more people are tuning in and getting wrapped up in the storyline.

They’ve really started to flesh out the characters and you learn more about the characters that have been on the screen. I’m excited at the prospect of more episodes to come.
Hopefully so, we have the season finale, and we’ll know shortly if we’re coming back for a season 2.
