Ask the Addict: Spoilers on GLEE, UGLY BETTY, VAMPIRE DIARIES & More!
Since I know you probably can’t spoil what goes down in tonight’s LIFE UNEXPECTED season finale (Yes CW, you heard me, season finale!), can you at the very least let me know if we’ve seen the last of Lux’s almost boyfriend Jones? With apologies to Bug, I’m totally on #teamabercrombie! — Jessica
The TV Addict: If it’s Austin Butler you want, we’ve got some bad news for you. According to sources, and by sources we’re of course referring to the internet movie database, Jones’ invite to tonight’s big LIFE UNEXPECTED wedding may have gotten lost in the mail. But, the good news is that if things go according to plan, you may be seeing a lot more of Mr. Butler next season if the CW picks up BETWIXT, a pilot he’s shooting alongside Jessy Shram and Morgan Bower which revolves around three teens who discover they’re actually changelings. Of course that shouldn’t stop you from watching our favorite CW show’s season finale tonight at 8PM.
As much as I’m trying to keep holding on, tomorrow night is too far away! Please give me some scoop on GLEE’s return to tide me over. — Amy
The TV Addict: Well, since you asked so nicely, you’ll be happy to know — complete with musical numbers that are already stuck in our head (thank-you-very-much All-American Rejects), Sue Sylvester one-liners that we’re still laughing at, and guest stars that well, defy gravity — Tuesday’s return is quintessential GLEE. And best of all, it’s only the beginning. In fact, of the first three episodes we’ve been lucky enough to screen including the highly-anticipated Madonna one, it might surprise you to learn that the third episode, which shines the spotlight on Mercedes packed the biggest emotional punch and truly solidified this show as something special.

Looking Back on 100 Episodes of BONES with Star David Boreanaz
Ask anyone who has ever had the opportunity to interview BONES star David Boreanaz and they’ll tell you that unlike many actors, he’s a tell-it-like-it-is kinda guy. But while he has no problem taking not-so-subtle jabs at NBC’s ever-expanding slate of reality offerings (“Trying to take scripted shows off the air is not the best way to go,” he says), we did manage to find a rather surprising topic on which he had difficulty pontificating.
The stumper? Which episode of BONES — which airs its 100th outing on Thursday (Wednesday in Canada) — is his favorite.
“It’s hard,” he admits, speaking of the show the way a parent would its children. “Every episode really has a place in your heart! There are snippets of each show that kind of pop into my mind when I look back.”
Frankly, it’s easy to see why he might struggle with the question given that he’s not just a star of the show, but also involved in every aspect from directing to producing. And while others in his position might find themselves needing the occasional break, Boreanaz admits that he’s not very good at the whole “stop-to-smell-the-roses” thing.
Looking Back on 100 Episodes of BONES with Star Emily Deschanel
This Thursday BONES will go where far too few of our favorite television shows have (gone before): The 100 episode mark. And in honor of this illustrious occasion, we at theTVaddict.com will be pre-emptively popping the [digital] champagne all week long the only way we know how: Interviews with a few of the people who made this momentous occasion possible.
First Up, Emily Deschanel, who was kind enough at the recent Television Critics Association Press Tour event celebrating the show’s milestone episode to explain why she’s happy BONES wasn’t a smash out of the gate, reminisce about her favorite episodes and what fans can expect from Thursday’s big one.
After five seasons of being shuffled around the FOX schedule BONES seems to be a bigger hit that it ever was. Are you surprised that you’re now one of FOX’s biggest hits anchoring Thursday night?
Emily Deschanel: It’s pretty incredible. I’ve done pilots before and none had been picked up so I really didn’t know what you expect. Usually you’re just thinking, “Oh my gosh if we can do a season or two seasons.” And then you have some success and it builds and builds and builds. It’s incredible, it keeps getting better and better. And really I’m so happy we had that kind of success rather than the success that begins huge and leaves you with no where to go but down while everybody’s watching and waiting for any mistake you might make. It’s given us the chance over five years to figure out what the show is, tweak things and figure out what we do best. I wouldn’t have wanted a crazy audience like DESPERATE HOUSEWIVES or GREY’S ANATOMY had from the beginning. I’ve been able to live my life, I haven’t been crazy super famous that I can’t go out of my house and I like all of that. I’m happy this way. They [FOX] shuffled us around and they somehow made it through even stronger.
Today’s TV Addict Top 5: Questions with V Star Joel Gretsch
After TAKEN and THE 4400, was there any apprehension to signing on to another science fiction series?
Joel Gretsch: I think there was a little bit. After TAKEN — with Steven Spielberg who is a friggin’ genius — I thought, where do you go from there? But then I got to audition for this very compelling character driven show and even though we have this wonderful technology and a spaceship, it’s really about a mom who has a son who doesn’t listen to her. Sci Fi is the backdrop. So yeah I had a little trepidation, but this show is fantastic, the cast is amazing, on ABC with Warner Bros. production, people are watching it, we have all the tools for a great show.
Ask the Addict: Spoilers on FRINGE, CASTLE, BROTHERS & SISTERS, LIFE UNEXPECTED & More!
As promised, Thursday’s FRINGE completely lived up to the hype. Care to give me any clues as to what we can expect next? — Bill
The TV Addict: How’s this for a doozy… actress Blair Brown accidentally let slip a really interesting piece of intel on our recent visit to the set of FRINGE? One that might infer that Nina Sharp and William Bell may not be as close as we’ve been led to believe. “Communication is what it is, but it’s not like she [Nina] is taking instructions from him because she doesn’t hear from him,” said the actress. “What we’ll come to discover soon is that Nina tries to contact him [William Bell] but we’re not sure what comes back.”
Thursday’s FRINGE was seriously off the hook! How long will we have to wait for Peter to learn the truth about his origins? — Mandy
The TV Addict: Based on a recent conference call with actor John Noble, who promised that when Peter finds out “we literally tumble into these extraordinary last two or three episodes,” we’re going to go out on a limb and calculate that Thursday May 6th is precisely when Peter will learn the truth. Of course if we were any good at math, we probably wouldn’t be sitting in our pyjamas blogging on a Monday! Just sayin’
