Fall TV Preview: Showrunner Mike Kelley Talks REVENGE Season Two
After a first season spent single-handedly reinvigorating the primetime sudser genre long thought dead, REVENGE’s return is just around the corner. And while many questions remain as to the fate of Victoria Grayson following May’s shocking season finale plane crash, not to mention the identity of the babydaddy following Fauxmanda’s unexpected baby bump, there is no such question when it comes to the hit ABC series second season goal: Avoid the dreaded sophomore slump! But just how does showrunner Mike Kelley plan on doing what is far easier said than done? We recently had the chance to interrogate the cast and creative team during a visit to the set of one of the Hampton’s most notorious addresses. The Showrunner Sales Pitch: Eric Kripke Offers Up Five Reasons Why You Should Consider Tuning into Tonight’s Series Premiere of REVOLUTION
If the definition of insanity is repeating the same mistake over and over expecting different results, consider us crazy for NBC’s REVOLUTION. Seriously. Forget the countless hours wasted watching a long line of failed LOST wannabes (See: SURFACE, THE EVENT, INVASION, FLASHFORWARD, V, among many many others), because REVOLUTION showrunner Eric Kripke (who created the series alongside J.J. Abrams and Jon Favreau) recently took a few minutes poolside at a Television Critics Association Press Tour Party in Los Angeles to present his fairly convincing argument as to why skeptics (not to mention SUPERNATURAL fans) should consider tuning in to tonight’s series premiere. Bye Bye Botwins! Hunter Parrish Reflects on Eight Seasons of WEEDS and Teases Sunday’s Series Finale
After eight seasons, those of us who have proudly stuck by WEEDS through thick and thin will say goodbye to the series that put Showtime on the map this Sunday at 10PM. Suffice it to say, from the not-so-quiet suburban enclave of Agrestic California to the mean streets of New York City and everywhere in between, it’s been quite an adventure for the Botwin family. Which is why, during the recent Television Critics Association Press Tour Party celebrating CBS, The CW and Showtime your very own TV Addict made a point to corner — in a completely professional non-stalkery way we swear — star Hunter Parrish, who was only too happy to reflect on what it was like growing up on the show and tease Sunday’s finale. REVENGE First Look: “Destiny”
Attention TV Addict!s Stop whatever it is you’re doing, clear your revengda (Yes, that’s Nolan speak for “Revenge agenda”) and get excited… because theTVaddict.com has just come across some first look photos from the much-anticipated second season premiere of REVENGE entitled “Destiny.”
According to ABC, “Destiny” promises to — in the wake of last summer’s events in the Hamptons — up the ante, with Emily planning her next move while she struggles with her heart and keeping her emotions from getting in the way of her resolve to avenge her father. According to show mastermind Mike Kelly, with whom we caught up with during a summer set visit to the Hollywood version of the Hamptons, “Destiny” is the theme of the season. “Much like I did with the pilot, where I opened with a Confucius quote that said ‘Before you embark on a journey of revenge, dig two graves,’ Season two will open with a quote about destiny. It’s an Emil quote about whether you have a hand in choosing your own destiny or whether it’s already laid out for you. This season is all about freewill versus fate.” [Read more…]
