TV Series That are Wrapping up in 2022

It’s official: during the last two years, we’ve all spent most of our time at home. The benefit of this has been that we’ve had time to do things we weren’t able to do before, such as taking up a new hobby, watching our favourite TV shows or even dabbling with some online gambling. In fact, online gambling has seen a huge increase in popularity around the world in recent years. Of course, when playing games online, you should do your research to know that the site you are using is legitimate and safe. Such sources will highlight games, instructions and strategies, particularly for new players. Additionally, they’ll be able to provide you with an in-depth overview of each casino and the bonuses they offer. And some even offer games based on favourite TV shows just to really add to the excitement!

Most of us have a favourite type of TV show or series, and it is so disappointing when networks and streaming services cancel or end them. However, series cannot last forever, and networks can only fill so many time slots, so eventually, all must end (no matter how planned or unplanned). So, here’s our list of TV shows we’ll be saying goodbye to this year.

The Walking Dead
Almost a decade after its premiere, The Walking Dead is finally coming to a close this year. The dramatic series’ final season will be released on August 22, according to AMC. We don’t know much about how the show will end, but we do know it’s not the same as the comic book, which ends with a fully-grown Carl telling his daughter about the exploits of her grandfather (as Carl in the show is dead). AMC has announced that season 11 of The Walking Dead will continue the main story and will run for 24 episodes, making it the biggest ever.

After Life
The third and final season of ‘After Life’ is now available to watch on Netflix. In its final season, Tony navigates the duel as the character played by Ricky Gervais (who created, wrote and directed the show) comes to realise that the only thing that gives him hope is to make other people feel good. Although we are sad that this show is ending, sometimes it’s best to end on a positive note.

A Discovery Of Witches
A Discovery of Witches is based on the All Souls Trilogy by Deborah Harkness. It’s a British fantasy television series and is named after the first book in the trilogy. Like the book, the series accurately concludes the stories of vampires, witches and demonic creatures. Consequently, this third season will be the last to follow Diana and Matthew’s adventures, as the show has officially been cancelled. However, it has been mentioned by the cast that they may return for any possible spin-off series if Sky TV and Deborah Harkness are interested in doing so.

Killing Eve
After teasing ‘numerous spin-off ideas’, the hit thriller series announced the premiere date for its fourth and final season. The final season will show Eve as she embarks on her revenge mission and how Villanelle finds a new community in which she tries to change her murderous ways. At the same time, each woman is on a quest to discover what she stands for, who she is and what they mean to each other. The series’ final season will air at the end of February 2022.

Better Call Saul
After the Breaking Bad prequel was announced, we knew what was going to happen. We have seen Jimmy transform into the corrupt, money-loving Saul of our memories throughout Seasons 1-5, and Season 6 will complete that transformation leading us right into the Breaking Bad series. It has not yet been announced when Season 6 will premiere.

Peaky Blinders
Peaky Blinders, the 1920s-set crime drama starring Cillian Murphy, Paul Anderson and the late Helen McCrory, is certainly one of the most anticipated shows ending this year. The series ended on a sour note for Tommy Shelby and his team in season 5, as Tommy was unexpectedly outmanoeuvred in the final seconds of season 5. Don’t be too sad, though; a follow-up movie is set to start filming in 2023. Additionally, there is a possibility of additional Peaky Blinders-based shows. With World War II approaching, expect blood and mayhem at the flagship’s farewell.

Don’t worry if your favourite TV show is not on the list. There will be plenty of other shows to look out for and to sink your teeth into in 2022. Despite the fact that it’s early 2022, there have already been some great releases!
