Today, the streaming service Peacock released trailers for two upcoming mini-series: DR. DEATH and DAN BROWN’S THE LOST SYMBOL.

First up is DR. DEATH, which is based on the hit podcast of the same name. Starring Joshua Jackson, the mini-series is actually based on the true story of Dr. Christopher Duntsch, a rising star in the Dallas medical community. Young and charismatic, his flourishing neurosurgery practice is derailed when patients start to enter his operating room and end up maimed or dead. Enter two fellow physicians, neurosurgeon Robert Henderson (Alec Baldwin) and vascular surgeon Randall Kirby (Christian Slater), as well as Dallas prosecutor Michelle Shughart (AnnaSophia Robb), who are working together to stop him. DR. DEATH will be streaming this summer.

Then there’s DAN BROWN’S THE LOST SYMBOL, which is based on the novel written by the author of “The Da Vinci Code”. The series is an adaptation of another one of Brown’s books, which centers around the early adventures of famed Harvard symbologist Robert Langdon (played by Tom Hanks in the movies). In THE LOST SYMBOL, Langdon must solve a series of deadly puzzles to save his kidnapped mentor and thwart a chilling global conspiracy. The cast includes Ashley Zukerman, Valorie Curry, Sumalee Montano, Rick Gonzalez, Eddie Izzard and Beau Knapp. The premiere date is currently unknown.
