“Blessed are the peacemakers, for they shall be called the children of God.” In Matthew 5:3 (the title of tonight’s NCIS: NEW ORLEANS episode) and related verses, the Bible advises humility, to show mercy, to be genuinely sorry for wrongdoing and to strive to be a better person. Perhaps that was in the mind of Cade Lasalle when he was murdered on NCIS: NEW ORLEANS. A man tormented by mental illness, Cade led a difficult life and was striving to become a better person, trying to save the young man in his new “family” from a situation with a drug ring.
As Pride (Scott Bakula), Christopher (Lucas Black) and the NCIS: NEW ORLEANS team dig further into the Alabama drug ring, more roadblocks and red herrings plague the investigation. Deliberate misdirection and unexplained participation continue to lead the agents down blind alleys.
During the investigation, Pride crosses paths with Eddie Barrett (Eddie Cahill, CSI: NY and UNDER THE DOME), an elusive individual who knows more than he is sharing, and there may be a wildcard looming in the background whose involvement is suspect.
Tonight’s episode, “Matthew 5:9,” was written by Chad Gomez Creasey and directed by Michael Zinberg.
NCIS: NEW ORLEANS airs tonight (Noveber 5) at 7:00 p.m. ET/PT on Global TV in Canada and at 10:00 p.m. ET/PT on CBS in the U.S.
