PRODIGAL SON focuses on Malcolm Bright, a man who understands how killers think and how their minds work. This “gift” comes courtesy of the fact that his father was a notorious 1990s serial killer named “The Surgeon”. With murder as the family business, Malcolm is the best criminal psychologist around. Joining forces with the NYPD, he’s asked with solving crimes and stopping killers. In his personal life, he has to deal with a manipulative mother (Jessica Whitly, a eleagant and WASYy New Yorker), a normal sister (Ainsley Whitly, a TV journalist who just wants her brother to have a normal life), and a homicidal father (Dr. Martin Whitly, who kiled at least 23 people) who still wants to bond with his son. Martin also works with Detective Gil Arroyo, one of the city’s best detectives.
