Christina Applegate and Linda Cardellini star in DEAD TO ME, a new Netflix dramedy. Jen (Applegate) is a sardonic recently-widowed woman who seems to determined to solve her husband’s hit-and-run murder. Judy (Cardellini) is a free spirit who recently lost her fiancé. The two women meet at a support group and become friends, despite their very differently personalities. Judy even moves into Jen’s guest house at Jen’s request. But as the women get closer, Netflix warns that “Judy desperately tries to shield Jen from a shocking secret that could destroy her life as she knows it”. Described as “an addictive dark comedy that dives into the painfully unfiltered, weirdly funny waters of grief, loss and forgiveness,” DEAD TO ME was created by Liz Fledman and also stars James Marsden (Steve), Ed Asner (Abe) and Brandon Scott (Nick).
DEAD TO ME premieres on Netflix on Friday, May 3.
