‘Tis Halloween Eve, and the NCIS team is bewitched, bothered and bewildered, all while the Director is going trick-or-treating dressed as the Director. Rocky Carroll, aka Director Vance, (above, with Executive Producer, Frank Cardea) returns to the director’s chair tonight to helm a tale of tricks, treats and a lot of twists.
Torres (Wilmer Valderrama) and Bishop (Emily Wickersham) investigate a crime scene in a “treat” of a home…from a gold-threaded shower curtain, gadgets and artwork to a self-cleaning toilet. Torres is bewitched by a property that he never could afford on an NCIS salary. But the tenant seems to have had enough money and disguises to last for several Halloweens…multiple drivers’ licenses and passports and cash, all stashed inside a secret room inside the luxurious MILLION DOLLAR LISTING.
Back at NCIS, Kasie (Diona Reasonover) is stuck with the “tricks” of the holiday…several, in fact. Besides the usual evidence, like a cellphone and combing through a garage full of personal belongings, the newbie forensic scientist is bothered by having to swab, examine and try to separate any useable DNA from a less-than-clean men’s room at a truck stop.
Not quite as harrowing as the truck-stop aspect of Halloween’s downside, Jimmy (Brian Dietzen) is bewildered by what may be a real autopsy gremlin when objects in his lab are moving around without explanation. Not only is this Halloween spooky, it is personal, when Torres recognizes the victim as a former friend from federal law enforcement training.
Guest stars are Scott William Winters, Suzanne Savoy, Justin Welborn, Maria Gibbs, Sal Landi, Kirk Fox, Rhomeyn Johnson, Peter S. Kim, Will Finley, Todd Anthony and Dawnmarie Ferrara. Tonight’s episode, “Beneath the Surface,” was written by Scott J. Jarrett and Matthew R. Jarrett.
NCIS airs tonight (October 30) on CBS in the U.S. and Global TV in Canada at 8:00 p.m. ET/PT.
