Netflix has opted not to order a third season of the true crime mockumentary series AMERICAN VANDAL. In the first season, two student filmmakers tried to figure out who drew a collection of spray-painted plalluses on teachers’ cars. In the second season, the documentarians investigated a series of poop-related pranks at an elite Catholic high school. There’s word that the studio is trying to shop the series elsewhere, but no details on whether that will end up being successful.
“AMERICAN VANDAL will not return for a third season,” Netflix said in a statement. “We’re very grateful to the creators, writers, cast and crew for bringing their innovative comedy to Netflix, and to the fans and critics who embraced its unique and unconventional humor.”
