Claire and Jamie have travelled across time for one another on OUTLANDER, but as they ended the third season they also travelled across an ocean. As season 4 begins, the couple find themselves in colonial America — prior to the American Revolution. The new featurette above shows us that the couple have decided to try and make a life together in American. But, since this is OUTLANDER, their path is fraught with danger. There’s a great deal of unease in their new digs because Claire loathes slavery and that practice very much existed at the time.
They also come across the Native Americans, who very much had a warrior culture that speaks to Jamie’s own Scottish roots — particularly since both people have had problems with the British. And when a high-level British officer grants them both land, they’re torn over whether to take it given its source. Then there’s the impending American Revolution, which is only 8 years away in the timeline of the show.
OUTLANDER returns for its fourth season on Sunday, November 4 on Starz.
