The great Muhammed Ali once said, “If you lose a big fight, it will worry you all of your life. It will plague you – until you get your revenge.”
Tonight, on the NCIS season finale, Sloane’s (Maria Bello) quest for revenge reaches the boiling point when she sets out to destroy a man from her past. Not the regular revenge that you exact on friends who set you up on a bad blind date, like the type McGee (Sean Murray) dreads when Delilah arranges one for Jack.
This revenge is the type of epic proportion.
When Sloane is convinced that she has encountered the man who held her and her compatriots hostage in Afghanistan many years ago, Jack goes ballistic. Still bearing the physical and emotional scars of torture inflicted upon her while she was in captivity, she is adamant that the man, believed killed following her rescue, is alive and in Washington, D.C.
Gibbs (Mark Harmon) and Vance (Rocky Carroll), concerned that Sloane will risk everything for vengeance, set a plan in motion to protect her from the suspected captor and from herself. Sarah Jessica Parker, who had her share of bad dates as SEX AND THE CITY’s Carrie Bradshaw, once said, “People go to casinos for the same reason they go on blind dates – hoping to hit the jackpot. But mostly, you just wind up broke or alone in a bar.”
Still, it is hard to imagine Carrie Bradshaw decking a maître d’…
