The CW is getting in the football drama genre with ALL AMERICAN next season. The show revolves around Spencer James, a high school football player and top student at South Crenshaw High. But when Beverly High School’s football coach, Billy Baker, recruits him to join the team there, Spencer’s mother (Grace) and his BFF Coop convince him it’s a good decision. Still, this means that Spencer has to learn to navigate between two vastly different worlds — Compton, the neighborhood where he lives, and affluent Beverly Hills. Spencer moves in with Billy and his family so that he can protect his spot in the school, but Billy’s son Jordan is not happy to be sharing the spotlight with Spencer. Still, Spencer finds an unlikely friend in Olivia, Jordan’s sister.
