THE PASSAGE is being billed as an “epic, character-driven thriller” based on Justin Cronin’s best-selling trilogy of the same name. The show focuses on Project Noah, a secret medical facility where scientists spend their days experimenting with a dangerous virus that could lead to a cure for all diseases. But this virus also has the potential to wipe out all of humanity. Enter Amy Bellafonte, a young girl who is chose as a test subject, and Federal Agent Brad Wolgast, the man who was responsible for bringing her to the facility. As Amy goes through the experiments she grows closer to Brad, who serves as her surrogate father. Together they’ll have to confront Project Noah’s lead scientist, Major Nichole Sykes, and Clark Richards, the ex-CIA operative who is in charge of operations. And then there’s maybe the biggest danger of all — a new race of beings confined within the walls of Project Noah, including former scientist Tim Fanning and death-row inmate Shauna Babcock. As these new beings begin to test the limits of their new powers, they could bring the world to the brink of an apocalypse.
