Just because you leave highschool, doesn’t mean that you can escape the politics of highschool. In THE COOL KIDS, Fox’s new comedy series, we learn that even the elderly can engage in petty popularity contests, only this time the cliques are inside a retirement community. There’s three men who serve as the popular “kids” in this community: Hank (a gruff, opinionated, 21st century Archie Bunker who will go to any lengths to have a good time), Charlie (a bumbling storyteller who constantly goes off on tangents about some bizarre, barely believable episode from his life), and Sid (a naysaying, pill-popping hypochondriac who shoots down every scheme, but still gets roped in). They’re used to getting their way until Margaret comes in — she’s a brash, confident woman who forces her way into their group and refuses to leave because she’s not going to take crap from anyone, especially not these three guys.
