ABC has picked up two new shows for the 2018-2019 season: GRAND HOTEL and WHISKEY CAVALIER.
GRAND HOTEL counts Eva Longoria as one of its executive producers and it’s set at one of the last family-owned hotels in Miami Beach. According to the network, “Santiago Mendoza (Academy Award nominee Demián Bichir) owns the hotel, while his glamorous second wife Gigi (Roselyn Sanchez), and their adult children enjoy the spoils of success. The hotel’s loyal staff round out a contemporary, fresh take on an upstairs/downstairs story.”
Meanwhile, WHISKEY CAVALIER stars Scott Foley as “tough but tender FBI super agent Will Chase” (Code Name: Whiskey Cavalier). Following an emotional breakup he is assigned to work with CIA Operative Francesca “Frankie” Trowbridge (played by Lauren Cohan). “Together, they lead an inter-agency team of flawed, funny, heroic spies who periodically save the world (and each other) while navigating the rocky roads of friendship, romance and office politics.”
Finally, ABC has renewed HOW TO GET AWAY WITH MURDER for a fifth season. Series creator Pete Norwalk tweeted the good news today.
