Netflix has been in the habit of acquiring films previously destined for theatres and putting them on its streaming service. They recently did it with THE CLOVERFIELD PARADOX and now they’re doing it with THE TITAN, a new film starring Sam Worthington (AVATAR).
In THE TITAN, nuclear fallout and resource scarcity means that half of the world will soon starve. to solve this problem the military comes up with an unusual solution: force genetic evolution on a group of soldirs so that they can hopefully survive on Saturn’s moon, Titan.
Of course, nothing ever goes as planned. This genetic evolution creates a species that no one could have expected (except for everyone who has ever watched a movie like this, of course ;). Worthington stars as Rick Janssen, a family man who gets caught up in the experiment.
THE TITAN will be available on Netflix on Friday, March 30.
