Netflix has dished out six renewals today for its exisiting shows.
First is ONE DAY AT A TIME, which has been renewed for a third season. Thirteen 30 minute episodes will come to the streaming service in 2019. Returning cast members include Justina Machado, Rita Moreno, Todd Grinnell, Stephen Toblowsky, Isabella Gomez and Marcel Ruiz.
QUEER EYE has also been renewed for a second season. In addition, Netflix has renewed unscript series DOPE, DRUG LORDS, NAILED IT and THE TOYS THAT MADE US. All of the shows except DOPE do not have new season premiere dates yet (DOPE will debut on April 20).
“These series are indicative of what we’re trying to accomplish for Netflix unscripted: working with world-class producers to create the best unscripted shows on television,” Bela Bajaria, vice president of content at Netflix, said. “These series elevate the genre with innovative takes on familiar formats. They deliver immersive and nuanced stories. They elicit so many emotions from viewers, from tears of laughter to tears of joy – and that’s just QUEER EYE.”
