NBC is always the first network to kick off the Upfronts and this year they picked up six new shows and renewed a good chunck of their existing schedule. There’s several new dramas coming to NBC in the 2017-2018 primetime season, including RISE from Jason Katims (FRIDAY NIGHT LIGHTS and PARENTHOOD) and REVERIE, a series about trying to save people trapped in a virtual reality world.
Expect to see some familiar faces in the new season as well, including Anne Heche and Mike Vogel (THE BRAVE), SUNNY’s Glenn Howerton (A.P. BIO), PARENTHOOD’s Mae Whitman (GOOD GIRLS) and, of course, the cast of WILL & GRACE, which will return for a revival season.
Meanwhile, the fate of both CHICAGO JUSTICE and TRIAL & ERROR is undecided. In addition, THIS IS US will air after Super Bowl 52 next year.
