NBC has picked up REVERIE, which is described as “a grounded and dramatic thriller about a former detective specializing in human behavior who is brought in when the launch of an advanced virtual reality program has dangerous and unintended consequences.”
Sarah Shahi stars as a former hostage negotiator who becomes a college professor after facing a personal tragedy. She’s one of the people brought in to save people who are lost inside this virtual reality programs. Dennis Haysbert plays Shahi’s former boss and the current head of security for the virtual reality program. Sendhil Ramamurthy, Jessica Lu and Kathryn Morris also star.
The show is executive produced by Mickey Fisher (EXTANT).
