The 99 squad is celebrating Thanksgiving in this week’s episode of BROOKLYN NINE-NINE. Amy is throwing a dinner party for the team and one special person is making an appearance: her father, Victor Santiago (played by Jimmy Smits).
This is the first time Jake has ever met Amy’s father, so the rest of the squad warns him not to get too cocky about the situation. But Jake is convinced that he’ll ace this meeting because he’s gone “full Amy” and prepared a dossier about Victor’s likes and dislikes and his career as a police officer. Jake’s research pays off right away as he lists off his favorite things, which just so happen to be Victor’s favorite things. And the two men get along famously. Unfortunately, things go downhill from there.
Meanwhile, Charles has been tasked with preparing the turkey this year and he’s decided to order a live turkey. Naturally, that goes about as well as you’d expect, and no one seems capable of actually killing the bird. Finally, Pimento tells Holt that he’s no longer allowed to work for the NYPD, which leaves him at a loss about his future. Holt, fortunately, has a suggestion about the next step in Pimento’s career.
Don’t miss an all new episode of BROOKLYN NINE-NINE tonight (November 22) at 8:00 p.m. ET/PT on Fox (U.S.) and CityTV (Canada).
