This week’s CHICGO FIRE clips reveal a lot of action for both the firefighters and paramedics of 51. The first clip finds Stella stuck in a manhole with a young boy. Due to the smoke and chaos it isn’t until Casey hears her calling out that the team is able to pry the grate off and get the two out safely. The teen — who we find out is named Chris — has some smoke inhalation, but appears to be fine. Stella, charming as ever, strikes up a conversation and reminds this young man that he is lucky to be alive, despite apparently living in the underground tunnels of Chicago.
The next action-packed sequence shows Brett and Dawson helping another young boy who is unconscious and without a heartbeat. Taking over CPR, they discover that his lung has popped and they need to intubate. The boy’s mother rushes over and — in hearing that his lung has popped and out of fear for her son’s life — she becomes hysterical and demands that Dawson leave, claiming she doesn’t know what she is doing. But Dawson remains calm and explains that she needs to do her job if the boy is going to live. Tense seconds pass as Brett and Dawson complete the trache and push epinephrine, but luckily they get a heart-beat and the mother’s son lives to see another day.
Be sure to watch an all new CHICAGO FIRE tonight (October 25) at 10:00 p.m. ET/PT on NBC (U.S.) and Global (Canada).
