The FBI seems to be having a hard time grasping how things work in The Big Easy.
The strictly by-the-book ways of new team member, FBI Special Agent Tammy Gregorio (Vanessa Ferlito) and her years in D.C. make her methods somewhat off-putting for the NCIS: NEW ORLEANS team, as does the approach of her FBI boss, Raymond Isler (guest star Derek Webster).
When Navy Petty Officer Drew Clarkson (guest star Jason Woods) is kidnapped, the NOLA team thinks there may be a link to another case in which a decorated officer was found dead in a sports arena.
Gregorio walks Drew’s parents, Susan (guest star Debbon Ayer) and Hank (guest star Demetrius Grosse) through the phone call from the kidnappers, which seems to originate from Mexico.
Upon hearing the call, Pride (Scott Bakula) and Lasalle (Lucas Black) hypothesize that the kidnappers and murderers could be the same people.
To the consternation of the FBI, NCIS: NEW ORLEANS decides to break protocol to rescue the abducted petty officer.
NCIS: NEW ORLEANS also stars Rob Kerkovich, Daryl “Chill” Mitchell, Shalita Grant and CCH Pounder. Additional guest stars in tonight’s episode, “Man on Fire,” are Carlos Ayala, Andy Dylan, Carlos Posas, Shannon Nicole and Julio Castillo.
Mario Lopez also guest stars as NOPD Officer Hernandez. “Man on Fire” was written by Zach Strauss and directed by Rob Morrow (star of NUMB3RS and NORTHERN EXPOSURE).
NCIS: NEW ORLEANS airs tonight at 10:00 p.m. ET/PT on CBS in the U.S. and Global in Canada.
