Have you ever seen the movie THE EXORCIST? Were you always too scared as a child to watch it? You’ll get a chance to experience the story in a whole new way now, 40 years after the film was released.
The new EXORCIST series will follow “two very different priests tackling one family’s case of horrifying demonic possession.” On the one hand there’s Father Tomas Ortega, who is the new and progressive face of the Catholic Church. He runs a small, but loyal, parish in the suburbs of Chicago. On the other side of the world is Father Marcus Brennan, a modern-day Templar Knight. He was essentially adopted by the Vatican when he was orphaned as a young child and has spent many years waging war against the enemies of the Church.
Caught up between these two men is the Rance family, members of Tomas’ parish. Eldest daughter Katherine has become a recluse who doesn’t want to leave her room. Youngest daughter Casey believes she’s hearing noises from inside the walls. Mother Angela has been having terrible nightmares and believes there is something demonic in the house. And father Henry is losing his mind. Angela begs Father Tomas for help, which sets him and Father Marcus on a collision course.
