SON OF ZORN is blending live-action and animation into a new comedy series on Fox. Zorn (a.k.a. the Defender of Zephyria, Conqueror of the tribes of Agon and decapitator of the dark herdsmen of Grith) is from a faraway island in the Pacific Ocean where everyone and everything is animated. But Zorn decides to return to Orange County, California, to try and win back his live-action ex-wife and teenage son, which — as you can imagine — causes complications.
Zorn is estranged from his son Alangulon (a.k.a. Alan) and his ex-wife Edie. As Zorn tries to win them back, he learns that Edie is now engaged to Craig, an online psych professor who is a stable presence in his family members’ lives. But Zorn is determined to be a good father this time around, so he rents an apartment and gets a job as an industrial soap salesman under his boss, Linda. As Zorn adjusts to life in the suburbs, he finds himself as a fish out of water, dealing with the mundane after a life of extraordinary adventures.
