Butch and Sundance. Jesse and Frank James. Bonnie and Clyde. Bonnie and Damon. Wait, Bonnie and Damon? Make that Bonnie and Damon and Enzo.
Tonight on THE VAMPIRE DIARIES, “Bamon-zo” turns assassin to eliminate the vampires on Rayna’s (guest star Leslie-Anne Huff) “hit list,” with a little help from their friends.
What possibly could motivate such an alliance? Damon (Ian Somerhalder) has driven away most of his friends.
Alaric (Matt Davis) has broken off their bromance. After years of being incarcerated together, Damon chose to escape rather than save Enzo from a fire.
Stefan (Paul Wesley) has faced, yet again, that his brother is undependable, at best.
But, when Bonnie (Kat Graham) slammed the door in his face and on their relationship, Damon truly was crushed.
What can make those whom he has alienated answer his call to arms? Bonnie’s impending death from the pills that were made from Rayna’s blood.
With only four episodes left this season, expect answers to some of the questions of what happens in between the present and “three years from now.”
What to expect…
1. When Enzo (Michael Malarkey) gave Bonnie pills made from Rayna’s blood, he was trying to help her. Expect him to go any lengths to save his new love from the unintentional death sentence that he has inflicted on her.
2. Rayna will agree to consider helping Bonnie if the vampires released from the Phoenix Stone are destroyed. The visions of the escaped vampires are driving her insane, and Damon (Ian Somerhalder) and Enzo’s offer may be the only way for her to have any peace.
3. Bonnie’s deteriorating condition will bring the Mystic Fallers together to save their friend. When a scab appears on Bonnie’s hand, Enzo will tell her that she has less than a week to live.
4. The anti-magic pills will wear off in two days, and Alexandria (guest star Mouzam Makkar) will be able to track Bonnie and abduct her for her own purposes.
5. Enzo will learn The Armory’s true motives behind the search for Bonnie. Alexandria will tell Enzo that her mentally-disturbed sister, Virginia, killed Lucy Bennett, and Bonnie is the only one who can help Alex save her other sister, Yvette, entombed in the Armory.
6. Damon will threaten Enzo, furious about the mistake with the pills. They will argue over which man made the bigger mistake…. Enzo with the pills or Damon’s decision to save his friends by retreating to his coffin. Bonnie will stop the confrontation, telling Damon that she loves Enzo.
7. Damon will do anything and everything that he can to save Bonnie, killing a long list of vampires in two days, including the Heretic, Beau.
8. Alaric (Matt Davis) temporarily un-suspended his moratorium on his friendship with Damon last week to help save Stefan with a vampire hunt. Irritated with himself over “how good that felt,” Alaric returned to Caroline (Candice King) and the twins to live in un-supernatural domesticity. He will be pulled back into the hunting lifestyle once more to help Bonnie.
9. When Stefan drops by the Saltzman/Forbes household, he will spot the couple’s upcoming wedding date on a calendar and will confirm that Alaric has fallen in love with Caroline.
10. Caroline, still heartbroken over Stefan’s disappearing act, will ignore him at her house. Alaric will tell him that even though she is still in love with Stefan, he hopes that she will opt to marry Alaric in Dallas rather than returning to the younger Salvatore brother.
11. Stefan will not give up hope on Caroline, realizing that she and Alaric are still sleeping in separate beds.
12. Will the potential wedding be postponed to pitch in on the fight for Bonnie’s life, or was it never going to happen anyway?
13. Will Alaric’s desire to live “supernatural free” break him apart from Caroline?
14. Will Ric remain in Dallas with the twins while Caroline returns to vampire life? And, if so, does that signal Davis’s departure from the series for a second time?
15. Will Matt’s (Zach Roerig) hatred of Stefan and the story of Penny’s demise be resolved? Will the two former friend become friends once more?
16. After the vampires on Rayna’s list are killed, will she still agree to do what she can to help cure Bonnie?
17. Is Alex’s promise to help Bonnie if she frees Yvette just as empty as it was when she promised to help Mary Louise because there is no cure?
