NCIS: NEW ORLEANS Sneak Peek: Runaway Train

Multiple terrorist-type attacks are threatening The Big Easy tonight on NCIS: NEW ORLEANS, and the team is threatened with a dilemma.

Someone may be trying to help them…or be a wolf in sheep’s clothing.  It is unclear whom to trust.

When a train is hit by a gunman, two people are killed.  Morgan Oliver (guest star Lauren Alexandra), a Tulane grad student, and the shooter, Brian Hendrich (guest star Chester Rushing), die on scene.

Navy Lieutenant Commander Mark Jacoby (guest star Sean Patrick Thomas), who was trying to negotiate with the attacker, has been transported to the hospital.

At the investigation site, Brody (Zoe McLellan) tells Pride (Scott Bakula) that witnesses said the shooter saw something that made him “go crazy,” and Lasalle (Lucas Black) said he was told that two men, not one, tried to stop the shooter.

Loretta (CCH Pounder) confirms that the shooter was killed with a knife wielded by the second man, and that person knew about medicine and anatomy based on the single cut that killed the shooter.

Could that medically-trained person be Petty Officer 2nd Class Corpsman Nolan Griffith (guest star Dustin Seavey)?

Navy corpsmen are medical specialists assigned to naval and Marine units to provide care in the field or in a hospital.  Although they are not doctors, they are similar to civilian physician’s assistants because of their extensive training.

If the would-be hero actually is Petty Officer Griffith, why did he disappear from the scene before NCIS: NEW ORLEANS arrived? Is he the same person who was captured in Afghanistan several years ago, but never found?  Will forensic evidence lead to Griffith or someone else?

One thing is certain…the team needs answers to stop any more attacks.

NCIS: NEW ORLEANS also stars Rob Kerkovich, Shalita Grant and Daryl “Chill” Mitchell.  Other guest stars on tonight’s episode, “No Man’s Land,” are Chris McGarry, Helen Eigenberg, Said Faraj, Brooklyn Bella, Jackson Beals, Eugenie Bondurant, Sylvia Grace Crim, Nidhi Ghildayal, Janee Michelle and Nicole Lovince.  “No Man’s Land” was written by Cathryn Humphris and directed by James Whitmore, Jr.

NCIS: NEW ORLEANS airs tonight at 9:00 p.m. ET/PT on CBS in the U.S. and on Global TV in Canada.
