How do you get people to trust you with their money? According to Bernie Madoff in ABC’s MADOFF, “you present it as an exclusive thing”.
Richard Dreyfuss will portray Madoff, an investment advisor who orchestrated what is considered the largest Ponzi scheme in U.S. history. When his actions were exposed, clients (including celebrities, retirement portfolios and philanthropic foundations) were told that they had collectively lost billions of dollars. Blythe Danner will be appearing as Ruth, Madoff’s wife. In addition to exposing why the fraud was committed, the miniseries will also chronicle the complicated family dynamics within the Madoff clan.
MADOFF also stars Tom Lipinski as Mark Madoff, Danny Defarrari as Andrew Madoff, Peter Scolari as Peter Madoff, Erin Cummings as Eleanor Squillari, Michael Rispoli as Frank DiPascali, Frank Whaley as Harry Markopolos. The miniseries also features Charles Grodin and Lewis Black.
MADOFF will air on February 3 and 4 from 8:00 p.m. – 10:00 p.m. ET/PT on ABC.
