When a teenage girl disappears, the team at NCIS: LOS ANGELES believes that terrorists may have recruited her.
In Ops, Nell (Renée Felice Smith) and Eric (Barrett Foa) explain that Pedro Gomez, a bakery delivery driver, has killed CPA Lucas Belridge in an automobile accident in front of a Naval recruitment center.
Gomez remains in a coma, but nothing suspicious in found in the delivery truck.
What is suspicious is a piece of paper that LAPD found in Belridge’s Prius. NCIS: LOS ANGELES has been brought into the case because the note had “Luck Mon Bod Roll Din” and “96 Sky” written on it.
Sam observes that the note is the phonetic spelling of “Luqman Badr Al Din,” the name of a terrorist on the Department of Homeland Security Terrorist Watch List.
One of the LAPD officers responding to the accident scene was a former Marine and linguistics specialist who had helped identify Badr Al Din
Luqman Badr Al Din’s identity had been so suppressed that even the CIA did not know who he was until a few months ago.
Following a lead, NCIS: LA goes to the home of Jahmir Yacoob (guest star Arthur Darbinyan) where they are confronted by Jahmir’s wife, Mira (guest star Anjali Bhimani) and the couple’s youngest daughter, Adeela (guest star Jenna Seede).
Mira mistakes NCIS: LOS ANGELES for the LAPD whom she had called when her older daughter, Zahra (guest star Ella Arro) was taken. She pleads with the NCIS:LA team to help them find their child. NCIS: LOS ANGELES agrees to investigate the situation.
There is another investigation underway at the same time, this one at the LAPD. The IAB case against Deeks (Eric Christian Olsen) that has been brewing for months culminates in his arrest for murder by the LAPD. He leaves a speechless Kensi (Daniela Ruah) on the sidewalk as he is taken away in handcuffs.
NCIS: LOS ANGELES also stars Chris O’Donnell, LL COOL J, Linda Hunt and Miguel Ferrer.
Other guest stars on tonight’s episode, “Defectors,” are Nicole Steinwedel, Marlane Barnes, Laura Niemi, James Wong. Rishi Arya, Anne Griffin, Adam Lieberman, Cesar Garcia, Jonathan Roumie, Jesse Bernstein and Stefanie Malouf.
“Defectors” was written by producer Jordana Lewis Jaffe, and directed by Dennis Smith.
