In a dream come true, Marta Milans was not only cast to co-star in the new ABC drama series KILLER WOMEN, but she was also invited into the music studio to sing for the show as well. In portraying Becca Parker, a manager for a band, Marta is given the chance to showoff her powerful vocals in one of the storylines explore this season. KILLER WOMEN may be about the women driven to kill, but the show also explores stories of the family of Molly Parker, a Texas Ranger, trying to find her way again after a painful divorce, prompting her brother Billy and his wife Marta, warmly welcome her into their home back at that family ranch.
In an exclusive video interview, Marta cheerfully talked about getting to play such a fiery Latina who fell in love and started a family while welcoming in her sister-in-law, a Texas Ranger on the rebound into her home.
Unfortunately, due to the nature of Molly’s Ranger work, sometimes her work follows her home and neither Molly or Marta will tolerate that for one second. Foreign beauty or not, no one messes with Marta, her man, or her family. It is the one of the bonds that Marta and Molly share – a deep, abiding love for their family and the lengths they will go to in order to protect it.
Marta is thrilled that she not only gets to portray a woman so deeply in love and committed to her husband and family, but that she also gets to portray a woman just as committed to her career. Plus, getting to sing on the show has been a dream come true. She is happy that viewers will get a chance to see her in such a great role and to hear her sing. She welcomes any feedback from the fans and she can be found on Twitter @MartaMilans.
