Jenny’s This Week on TV

Welcome to a new week for This Week on TV! Big stuff happening this week, including the season finales of The Amazing Race, George Lopez, The Unit, Jericho & others plus the premiere of Traveler on ABC, super-sized episodes of Thursday comedies on NBC and much more! So check it out!

SUNDAY

Sunday, catch the season finale of The Amazing Race on CBS at 8/7c. It is down to Mirna and Charla, Eric and Danielle & Dustin and Kandice. I quit watching this season a few weeks in because I had read that M&C and D&K were 2 of the final 3 teams and I can’t stand either team. So I didn’t care who won. But for those that do, I hope you enjoy tonight’s ep! 🙂

Also on tonight:

MONDAY

Monday is the season finale of 2 comedies. First up is The New Adventures of Old Christine on CBS at 8:30/7:30c. When we last left Christine, she and Richard had spent the night together and Richard and New Christine were not together anymore. What does this mean for Christine, Richard and their son Richie? Find out tonight!

Also tonight is the season finale of Girlfriends on the CW, starting at 9/8c. There are 2 new episodes. Joan gets a long-awaited marriage proposal; Maya and Darnell find their dream house, but another opportunity arises, and Darnell must make a choice.

Also on tonight:

TUESDAY

Tuesday is the one-hour season finale of George Lopez at a special time, starting at 8/7c. George is worried about Max and puts him to work in the factory to emphasize the importance of education, then in the 2nd half of the hour, Edward James Olmos guest stars as a multi-millionaire that buys Powers Aviation and asks George to stay on board if he’s willing to consider making some major life changes. What, become a woman? heh Wonder what it could be!

Also tonight is the season finale of another of my favorite shows, The Unit on CBS at 9/8c. As the Unit member’s world comes crashing down, some members disappear, others are locked up and one finds himself being pressured to betray his team. Crazy! I really hope it comes back next season, as this would be a sucky way to end it!

I had bad information and apparently the season finale of Tori & Dean: Inn Love is tonight on Oxygen at 10:30/9:30c and not last week.

Also on tonight:

WEDNESDAY

Wednesday is the season finale of Jericho on CBS at 8/7c. Johnston leads a heavily outnumbered army of citizens from Jericho into battle against New Bern, where one of Jericho’s own will be lost during this fight for survival. Here’s hoping it’s Gray. 😛 The last few episodes have been fantastic and back to the Jericho that I loved earlier in the season. I’m sad it’s ending and have my fingers crossed HARD that it comes back next season!

Also on tonight:

THURSDAY

Thursday is the series premiere of Traveler on ABC at 10:01/9:01c. Starring Aaron Stanford as the title character, Will Traveler, and Logan Marshall-Green (Trey on The OC) and Matthew Bomer (hottie Luc on Tru Calling) as Will’s friends Tyler and Jay respectively, and finally Steven Culp (Rex Van De Kamp on Desperate Housewives) as Agent Fred Chambers. ABC has already cut down on the series order from 13 to 8, so it doesn’t bode well, but watch cause it looks good!

Tonight is more super-sized episodes on NBC of the comedies My Name is Earl from 8/7c til 8:40/7:40c, The Office from 8:40/7:40c til 9:20/8:20c and Scrubs from 9:20/8:20c til 10:01/9:01c.

If you are a fan of Without a Trace, don’t miss the season finale on a special night on CBS at 10/9c. The team searches for a missing 13-year-old girl whose mother fears fell prey to a fierce neighborhood drug dealer, and Jack tries to figure out how to protect Elena from her vindictive ex after her legal case against him falls apart.

Also on tonight:

FRIDAY

Friday is the season finale of Ghost Whisperer on CBS at 8/7c. Fearing that the dark side is becoming more powerful than the light, Melinda searches for the meaning behind mythological clues before another tragedy strikes Grandview. Then stick around at 9/8c for the season (& probable SERIES) finale of Close to Home. While the D.A.’s office attempts to put an end to the web of police corruption plaguing the city, the case takes an unexpected turn when someone close to them is murdered. Eek!
