Gooooooood morning TV fans! I *gasp* can’t *gasp* keep *gasp* up *gasp*! Is anyone else feeling that way? It’s several weeks into the fall season and NOTHING has been canceled yet! I know I’m probably jinxing it, but seriously, it’s driving me crazy! I started watching almost every new show, assuming that several would be canceled pretty quickly. After all, last season, Crumbs was canceled after 5 eps, Emily’s Reasons Why Not after 1, One Ocean View after 2, Head Cases after 2, Kitchen Confidential after 4 *cry*, the list goes on and on and on! But already 1 month into the season and everything is still on the air! Sure, a few are on the bubble but… I dunno if I can keep up if nothing goes away, especially with Veronica Mars, The Nine & others starting in October. But enough about that, let’s see what’s cluttering up my DVRs this week!
Sunday starts off the busy week with some season premieres and some finales as well. Can you imagine a show being on the air for 17 season that ISN’T Law & Order? America’s Funniest Home Videos does just that as they start their season today. Not on the air as long, Everybody Hates Chris, All of Us, Girlfriends, The Game, House of Carters & Dexter also start theirs. MANY people are looking forward to Dexter on Showtime. It’s based on Jeff Lindsay’s novel “Darkly Dreaming Dexter” and is a crime thriller that tells the story of a strange man named Dexter Morgan. He’s a successful forensics pathologist. But he also has a 2nd career hunting down & murdering vicious criminal who have not been caught or punished by the law. Should be VERY interesting! This week is also the last ep of The War At Home before the hiatus for baseball and new episodes of Extreme Makeover: Home Edition, Desperate Housewives, Brothers & Sisters, The Amazing Race, Cold Case & Without a Trace.
Monday is a big day for Everwood fans. It is starting its cable run series premiere on ABC Family. Because of baseball, Prison Break & Vanished have their last episodes before the month-long hiatus. There is the 2 hour season premiere of The Bachelor: Rome and new episodes of Heroes, Studio 60 on the Sunset Strip, 7th Heaven, Runaway, The Class, How I Met Your Mother, Two and a Half Men, The New Adventures of Old Christine & CSI: Miami. On How I Met Your Mother, Ted’s parents are visiting for the weekend and a stunning family secret comes out during brunch. Hmm, what could it be?? lol
Tuesday is the biggest night of tv for me all season. Veronica Mars, Veronica Mars, Veronica Mars! Yay! Plus, the premiere of Friday Night Lights, the finale of Eureka and new episodes of Law & Order: Criminal Intent, Law & Order: SVU, Gilmore Girls, Dancing with the Stars, Help Me Help You, Boston Legal, NCIS, The Unit, Smith and the first game of the Major League Baseball Division Series. Watch Gilmore Girls on the CW Network, where Lorelai turns the house into an Asian-themed wonderland to cheer Rory, who is upset that she and Logan had to cancel their trip to Asia. Then stick around for Veronica Mars, where Veronica, Logan, Wallace and Mac head to college, where Veronica helps Wallace’s roommate when his belongings are stolen.
Wednesday is the premiere of South Park on Comedy Central, The Nine & Lost, where Jack, Kate & Sawyer figure out what they are up against as prisoners on ABC. Also catch new episodes of Kidnapped (I’m LOVING Jeremy Sisto!), Bones (the last new episode before the hiatus), America’s Next Top Model & Dancing with the Stars (where one contestant is eliminated in each show), One Tree Hill (where Brooke celebrates her 18th birthday), Jericho, Criminal Minds & CSI: NY.
Thursday is the 2nd game of the baseball division playoffs on FOX, new episodes of My Name Is Earl (where Earl makes amends for number 91 on his list!), The Office, ER, Smallville, Supernatural (Sam and Dean meet a woman named Ellen…), Ugly Betty, Grey’s Anatomy (how fan-freakin-tastic was last week’s episode??), Six Degrees, Survivor (one tribe is divided by gender…whether by the show or just in votes, I dunno!) & Shark. The new episode of CSI should be fantastic, as the bodies in the morgue give voice to their own murder investigations! lol
Friday ends the week strong with the 2 hour season premiere of Battlestar Galactica! Mmm Jamie Bamber! Check out new episodes of Ghost Whisperer, Close to Home & Numb3rs, in which Don and his team investigate a museum robbery. Also new is the adorably cute Men in Trees and Law & Order. You can catch a previously unaired episode of Night Stalker on SciFi, too!
So that’s the week. If you are like me, you want to cry when you see how busy Monday, Tuesday & Thursday especially are! Whatever and however much you watch, enjoy it! Have a great week everyone!
