Playbill.com is reporting that Tony award winning composers of Avenue Q, Jeff Marx and Robert Lopez, will write songs for a musical episode of Scrubs, to air in Spring 2007. The article quotes Debra Fordham, a supervising producer for the television series, that the musical episode will be about “a woman (who) comes into Sacred Heart, our hospital, complaining that she constantly hears music, yet all her tests come back normal. Is she just crazy? Or is something else going on?”
Both the TV and Theatre addicts look forward to this clash of television and Broadway. No doubt Avenue Q and Scrubs will be match made in a sacred heart.
