Finally, something that will keep this TV Addict awake during what was pretty much the most overrated musical in Tony—Award Winning history. WEEDS star Hunter Parrish, who plays Silas on the critically acclaimed Showtime series, will be joining the Broadway cast of SPRING AWAKENING starting this August. According to Playbill.com, “Parrish will step into the role of Melchior, the young radical, beginning Aug.”

In celebration of tonight’s brand new episode of WEEDS, this TV Addict is giving away the third season on DVD. To enter to win, simply take a moment and help a TV Addict out with your TV buying recommendation.
Now I realize we’ve played this little game before, but after a surprisingly lucrative Birthday weekend, I’m finally ready to upgrade from my raggedy old 37″ Sharp Aquos that doesn’t even do 1080p [yes, the horror!] So assuming you have a spare $1800 [or less] and were in the market for a 40 — 42″ 1080p LCD or Plasma with a minimum three HDMI ports. Post away with your recommendation.
A winner will be chosen at random and notified via email in one week.

With WEEDS making its long-awaited return to the airwaves tonight on Showtime, this TV Addict thought he’d pose an interesting question.
WEEDS. Best Show Ever? Discuss.
Now admittedly, the ‘best show ever’ classification might be a slight over-exaggeration. That or a symptom of this TV Addict’s post-May Sweeps depression. I mean seriously, PASSWORD and SWINGTOWN? Who’d have thought that outside of my burgeoning GREEK and BUFFY addictions I’d have CBS to thank for getting me through the summer! But I digress.

Last season’s scintillating imagery it ain’t! But all the same, combined with today’s report, courtesy of Super Scooper Michael Ausiello [seriously Ausiello... thank me anytime for the endless plugs, You so have your name on 'google alert'!] that ED/LOST alum Julie Bowen is joining the cast as Silas Botwin’s MILF — June 16 cannot come soon enough. Agreed?

What’s cable’s No. 1 pot dealer to do when her cozy suburban enclave burns to the ground, taking her clients and stash along with it? What else? Pack up and move on. With the embers of Agrestic smoldering in her rearview mirror, Nancy & Co. relocate to the fictional beach town of Ren Mar on the San Diego/Mexico border to set up shop with a new front biz that’s… pregnant with possibilities. With the help of her old friends and new partner Guillermo, Nancy will get even deeper in the shadier side of dealing — on both sides of the border. She’s savvy and has earned her stripes in the business, but the new, un-chartered terrain ramps up the risk with every transaction. While there’s a whole new look, new locale, new friends and even a new love interest, the patented Weeds dark humor that the country and critics have grown to love over the past three seasons stays true to form.

According to our friends over at BuzzSugar, the third season premiere of WEEDS attracted a record 824,000 viewers on Monday night, up a staggering 43% over last season’s premiere. Anyone in Hollywood still want to argue against leaking shows early on BitTorrent? Anyone… Bueller…
Billboard is reporting that in an effort to promote the fall season, ABC is producing music videos for several of its new and returning shows, including UGLY BETTY, DESPERATE HOUSEWIVES, GREY’S ANATOMY, BROTHERS AND SISTERS and more. Music videos, we’re cool with. But listen up ABC. If we have to hear The Fray’s HOW TO SAVE A LIFE one more time, we’re going to have to check ourselves into Seattle Grace.
Ellen DeGeneres has signed a deal with TBS to shoot a two-hour variety show this November at the Comedy Festival in Las Vegas. As a result, TBS has re-earned the slogan this TV Addict took away from them after making me sit through the premiere of THE BILL ENGVALL SHOW. Congrats TBS. Ellen Degeneres, very funny. Bill Engvall, not so much.
