CW Rumours

May 17th, 2006

Rumours persist that EVERWOOD has indeed been cancelled, with the CW opting to pick up VERONICA MARS (yeah!). ONE TREE HILL (Chad Michael Murray doesn’t deserve to be a TV star), and SUPERNATURAL (don’t watch, but hear it’s good) for 22 episodes each, with an option to cut each one to 13. The CW’s officially announces its schedule tomorrow. Let’s hope the Powers that Be come to their senses and renews Everwood (again, the best drama on TV)

Worst News Ever: EVERWOOD DEAD

May 16th, 2006

According to Michael Ausiello’s Ausiello Report Straight from the horse’s mouth, Rob Thomas just e-mailed me to confirm that Veronica Mars has been renewed for a third season. The show got a 22-episode order that, depending on ratings, can be reduced to 13. Very reliable sources, meanwhile, are also telling me that One Tree Hill will be back and that Everwood is, in fact, dead. Talk about injustice.

ABC Upfronts: Questions?

May 15th, 2006

Dear Readers, I’ve just been given the incredible opportunity to listen into the live UpFront ABC presentation tomorrow morning at 8am. I MAY get to ask a question at the press conference, of course this is highly unlikely. I can’t imagine the President of ABC choosing theTVaddict.com over say the little paper called the NYTimes! But feel free to post any questions you’d like me to consider in the comments below. If there unthinkable happens, and I get to ask something, I want to make sure I’ve thought of the best question ever!

TV Network Buzz: Pilot News!

May 12th, 2006

According to Kristin over at eonline.com – the CW’s AQUAMAN wasn’t picked up, and ABC’s WHAT ABOUT BRIAN is indeed getting renewed…. discuss….

7th Heaven Returning (seriously!)

May 12th, 2006

According to MediaWeek.com 7th Heaven will be returning for an 11th season on the CW. Apparently the new network wasn’t too pleased with their upcoming crop of Drama pilots, subsequently thay have decided to bring back the WB’s most watched drama. This is a bad sign, as the return of 7th Heaven means one less spot for an actualy ‘good’ tv show. If either Veronica Mars of Everwood gets bumped off the net in place of the cheesiest sappiest soapiest family drama ever, I think I’ll have to kill myself.

Let the UpFront Rumors Begin

May 11th, 2006

Rumour has it the CW isn’t to pleased with the drams in development. sources tell the Hollywood Reporter that if INVASION isn’t renewed by ABC, the CW may decide to pick it up.

In other Upfront News, ABC announced the pickup of six pilots: IN CASE OF EMERGENCY (starring David Arquette, Greg Germann), HELP ME HELP YOU (starring Ted Danson as a celebrity shrink), NOTES FROM TEH UNDERBELLY, THE NINE (about hostages taken in a robbery, starring Chi McBride and Kim Raver) and SIX DEGREES (strangers brought together through mysterious circumstances, sort of a LOSTesque show)

Meanwhile, over at the struggeling NBC, the network that once ruled Thursday Night has picked up four new shows: STUDIO 60 ON THE SUNSET STRIP, PRIMARY, VANISHED, and AMERICAN CRIME.
