STUDIO 60 on the move

May 25th, 2006

This afternoon NBC held a press conference (call) to announce some much anticipated changes to its fall schedule. Changes that were made necessary when ABC announced they were scheduling their smash hit GREY’S ANATOMY on Thursday at 9pm. As a result, STUDIO 6 is moving to Monday’s at 10pm, bumping MEDIUM to mid-season. Fo fellow TV addicts, this comes as welcome news, as Thursday at 9pm was becoming way too popular with CSI, Supernatural, Grey’s Anatomy, Studio 60 and the OC? What was a TV addict to do?

NBC Shuffling its Feathers?

May 22nd, 2006

In a move that won’t surprise anyone. NBC is considering moving its much-hyped Aaron Sorkin Dramedy STUDIO 60 AT SUNSET STRIP to Monday night, to ensure it doesn’t get it’s butt kicked by the juggernaut that is GREY’S ANATOMY. The move is good news for SCRUBS fans, as the show may be called into action before January – taking the place of STUDIO 60 on Thursdays. SCRUBS on Thursday, now that’s what I call MUST SEE TV.

Everwood was on the CW schedule?

May 18th, 2006

everwood

Okay, what’s going on here? An anonymous poster has led me to the image above. (Or click this link, but it may be taken down by the CW soon!) Clearly EVERWOOD was MEANT to be on the CW schedule – but was replaced by comedies and a REPEAT of AMERICA’S NEXT TOP MODEL. What is going on here??? The opening sentence says it all, “Returning for its fifth season, this acclaimed drama…..”

All I can say is, EVERWOOD FANS UNITE! Let the CW know of our disappointment. The power of blogs, message boards and fansites can’t be ignored. If you have a blog, make sure you express your opinion. Post away on your favourite board. It isn’t too late. The CW will hear us.

AQUAMAN Trailer

May 18th, 2006

AQUAMAN seemed like a promising idea, that was yet another victim of the CW merger. Here is a unique opportunity to see the trailer for the AQUAMAN pilot. Personally, I think it looked really cool – but no doubt really expensive to produce. Check out the trailer by clicking here.

So Bitter

May 18th, 2006

Well, the CW schedule is official, (you can check it out on the official CW web site http://cwtv.com) and I must admit, I’ve never been so disappointed with anything (TV releated) in my entire life. For most of my life, I’ve been pretty lucky. I’ve never had a beloved show ripped away from me before its time. Most of my favourites had nice long runs. Sure there was the odd cancellation that upset me, Jack & Bobby, Grosse Pointe, Models Inc. to name a few – but overall I was happy and lucky (I never watched Angel!).

CW Rumours: Schedule Not Final!

May 17th, 2006

Everwood Fans: There still is a bit of hope. According to Kristin over a eonline.com the CW is still making scheduling decisions, and the rumours of Everwood’s demise are premature. Let’s hope that this is good news for EVERWOOD fans and the CW has come to its senses. Also, word is that REBA hasn’t been cancelled, and will get 13 episodes to wrap up the series next season. Finally, the logo above is apparently the new CW logo. Personally, I’m not a fan… of course if Everwood is picked up, I’ll shamelessly promote anything the CW wants! The rumours will finally be put to rest tomorrow morning as the CW presents its schedule to advertisers.

Save INVASION

May 17th, 2006

Jennifer over at TUBE TALK GIRL asked me to post a column of hers, in an effort to call attention to her favourite show, INVASION. Having recently had my heart ripped out by the rumours that EVERWOOD has been cancelled, I’m only too happy to help a fellow TV addict call attention to here plight.

Just in case you didn’t hear my reaction to ABC’s fall schedule news, let me repeat it: NOOOOOOOOO!!!!! (Followed by some choice words that I won’t repeat here.) Invasion, my favorite new drama of the year on any network, was…I can’t bear to say it…cancelled. Send antidepressants, Tubers, pronto.
