Kristen Bell Scoop — Legally NOT

September 27th, 2007

If you were one of the millions of fans hoping to see VERONICA MARS star Kristen Bell light up the stage in Broadway’s hit musical LEGALLY BLONDE — you may wish to stop reading right now. According to our trusted sources, Kristen Bell has passed on the project [no doubt due to her busy filming schedule], leaving the BLONDE producers scrambling to find another ‘big name’ to replace original star Laura Bell Bundy. As of yet the producers have had no luck [with another prominent blonde bombshell recently passing]. So if you look like this and can sing, may we suggest hanging outside BLONDE’S Time Square theatre on show nights. Who knows — perhaps you’ll be discovered!

Exclusive Scoop: The GILMORE GIRLS Series Finale!

March 31st, 2007

Having just returned from the set of SUPERNATURAL, this TV addict was in no mood to going through the massive pile of mail that accumulated while I was away. Luckily, one oddly thick package caught my attention…

Yes my friends, your eyes don’t deceive you. In this TV addict’s possession is the season (possibly series) finale script of the GILMORE GIRLS! Dying to discover what happens to our favourite gals from Stars Hollow? Highlight the inviso-text below to find out. Needless to say, spoiler-phobes beware.

With Rory preparing to graduate from Yale and move to New York for grad school, Lorelai finds herself at a crossroads. Not willing to be left alone in Stars Hollow, Lorelai must finally choose between marrying Luke or returning to Christopher. Of course like everything in Stars Hollow, nothing is as easy as it seems. Marrying Luke means moving to New Mexico to be with April. While committing to Christopher means shutting Luke out of her life forever.

The episode reaches a climax at Rory’s graduation, as the entire town shows up for the big event. As Rory receives her diploma from special guest star Christiane Amanpour, Lorelai looks over at Chris who’s beaming with pride. She realizes that Christopher is indeed her soul mate, and that family is more important than anything else. Lorelai decides to sell her portion of the Dragonfly Inn to Sookie and Michel and move to Paris with Christopher and Gigi. Luke, unable to bare losing Lorelai again, decides to sell the diner to Kirk and moves to New Mexico to be closer to April. Melissa McCarthy, Yanic Truesdale, Liza Weil and Sean Gunn also star.  Stephen Clancy directed the episode written by Rebecca Rand Kirshner (#2T7768).

General Hospital Spin-off Hits Soapnet!

February 12th, 2007

In a surprising move, SOAPnet has greenlit a 13-episode sudser dubbed GENERAL HOSPITAL: NIGHT SHIFT, set to air later this summer. “We are committed to growing the soap genre and the GENERAL HOSPITAL franchise by extending its storyline only on SOAPnet,” said Brian Frons, President, Daytime, ABC Television Group. At a time when soap ratings are down across the board — and one, PASSIONS, was recently cancelled — this is seen as a bold move from the cable network which has built its reputation upon giving soap fans an opportunity to watch their favorite shows at night and during weekend marathons. “NIGHT SHIFT will launch with an audience that is already dedicated and compelled to know more about what happens on the night shift at the hospital,” continued Frons.

Tune into THE OC Tonight — While You Still Can!

December 21st, 2006

Just thought I’d remind everyone that in the midst of all these winter reruns (reruns make theTVaddict sad!), THE OC is all new tonight. On tonight’s episode Ryan and Taylor’s road trip to Vegas takes a surprising turn after Seth and Summer decide to tag along.

If you’re one of the millions of fans who’ve dropped THE OC this season A.M. (after Marissa), this TV Addict hopes you’ll tune in tonight and give the show another chance. It’s been a really great year, and if more viewers don’t tune in, we can pretty much say goodbye to our favourite denizens of Newport.

In fact, the TV Addict has learned, from a source currently working on the film JUMPER, that Rachel Bilson (Summer) has pretty much been told that this will be the final season of THE OC.

Obviously, the only thing that networks respond to is ratings, so the only way to change FOX’s mind is to start showing THE OC some ratings love!

(Rachel is currently in Toronto shooting JUMPER until mid-January).

Degrassi Season 6 Scoop!

September 24th, 2006

the TV addict recently bumped into a star of DEGRASSI TNG on the streets of Toronto (there’s one good reason about living in Canada eh!). That said, I was lucky enough to pick up some scoop about the upcoming sixth season. Highlight the white text below to discover what will happen to one of your favourite students.

One of our favourite Degrassi students will be stabbed this season by a student from a rival school.

Exclusive Smallville Pics: Green Arrow

September 22nd, 2006

The series I love to hate returns with all new episodes on September 28, 2006. Let’s hope for season six we see more of Lex vs. Clark and less of Lana. Here are a few pics of Justin Hartley, playing Oliver Queen (aka The Green Arrow) the latest ’superhero’ to drop by the sleepy Kansas Town.

Battlestar Galactica Season 3 Spoilers

September 8th, 2006

Having just finished viewing the first five episodes of season three, I thought I’d offer up a few bits of scoop to get you [even more] excited for the two-hour premiere of BATTLESTAR GALACTICA on October 3. Rest assured, I’m not spoiling anything major, just offering up some tiny morsels of information to tease (and/or frustrate) you.

At least one character from the first webisode will not survive the (two-hour) season premiere of BSG.

There will be a major character death in episode three, and the Cylons will not be the one to kill her (or him).

Apollo is FAT and incredibly out of shape! You’ll have the pleasure (or displeasure) of seeing him topless. Trust me, not a pretty sight.

Numerous characters have married during their year on New Caprica, and by the end of episode five, there will be one major seperation.

Amanda Plummer guest stars in the season’s first hour long installment (following the two-hour premiere) entitled ‘EXODUS, PART 1′. Carl Kumbly (ALIAS) guest stars in the November 17 installment entitled ‘HERO’, written by David Eick.

Check back next week for some more thoughts on season three including a review of the first two episodes.

Holy Frack! Battlestar Galactica Scoop

September 6th, 2006

Yesterday morning, I was LIVE Blogging Rosie’s Return to THE VIEW, when the doorbell rang. ‘What the Frack?!’ I thought. How dare someone interrupt me during Rosie’s triumphant return to Television (Isn’t this a national holiday?). I paused my PVR, and headed to the door (Yes, my PVR is the greatest invention ever). A Fedex delivery, what on earth was being sent to me?

Wait a second, I remember last week receiving an email from a good friend (high up in the executive suites) at one of my favourite television networks. He (or she!) did mention that I’d be receiving a super-secret package that would be worth the wait. Could this be it? Only one thing to do, scan the package for explosive devices (OC fans were really angry about my negative rants last season). Okay, what am I thinking, OC fans aren’t smart enought to build any sort of explosive device. I opened the package….

HOLY FRACK! A beautifully bound coffee table book on one of my favourite shows – BATTLESTAR GALACTICA As I begin to flip through the pages, I marvel at the amount of time and energy (not to mention expense) that the SciFi network has put into promoting the upcoming third season of BATTLESTAR GALACTICA (October 6 by the way). The book contains beautiful photos and bios for most of the BSG actors, as well as bios and credits for the creative. How nice of my ‘network friend’ to hook me up with this incredible book.

Like any good story, there’s more. As I flipped through, I came across a nice page recapping the past two seasons of BATTLESTAR GALACTICA. What a great idea I thought to myself. Lord knows I have enough trouble keeping track of who’s a cylon and who isn’t! My newest theory, Adama’s new season three moustache is a Cylon.

After reading the ‘Previously on BATTLESTAR GALACTICA…”, I continued to flip through the book. What’s this? An episode guide… for SEASON 3. ‘HOLY FRACK!’ (yet again!) I can’t believe this. I actually have in front of me the super secret heavily guarded spoilers for Season 3. Wow, such a rush, such power! I could seriously leak to the entire internet community the heavily guarded plots for the upcoming season (Serious Adrenaline Rush!). Okay, so here it goes…. Admiral Adama Retur……

Okay. I’m so not about to do that. Ronald D. Moore, if you’re reading this – sleep well knowing I would never ruin all your hard work (along with the entire cast and creative team) just to get visitors to my web site. (How many visitors do I think I could get? hmmmm – Somebody DIGG this please!)

Finally I get to the end of the book, and I see this….

HOLY FRACK HOLY FRACK HOLY FRACK! The first five episodes of season 3. This is incredible! Needless to say, stay tuned to theTVaddict.com for reviews, comments and possibly a few bits of scoop (take that Ausiello!)

The Ends Is Near…. K-FED on CSI

August 28th, 2006

According to my source at CBS, ‘performer’ and ‘rapper’ KEVIN FEDERLINE will be guest starring on an upcoming episode of CSI: CRIME SCENE INVESTIGATION

Federline will portray an arrogant teenager who harasses the CSI team as they investigate a series of brutal tourist beatings that are taking place throughout the Las Vegas area. Nick and Warrick are confronted by Cole Tritt, (Federline), an arrogant teen who hassles them while they work a crime scene.

This shameless casting stunt just shows us how nervous the producers of CSI may be of their new competition: the phenomenom that is GREY’S ANATOMY.
