sex and the city movie

The TV Addict is taking an informal poll. Not because he’s really interested, or to justify the fact that he kinda, sort of, *cough*cough* interested in seeing the SEX AND THE CITY movie *cough*…. But just out of curiosity, if you’re a guy and are planning on seeing the continuing adventures of Carrie, Samantha, Charlotte and Miranda [ummm... those are their names right?], it would really help me out if you took a moment to fess up in the comments below. You know, so I don’t feel like the only male TV Addict on the planet who kinda, sort of wants to see this movie. Even though there’s no way I’m going this weekend for fear of being trampled on by millions of screaming women and will probably just wait until it comes out on TMN [Canada's HBO]. A channel that I shell out 20 bucks a month for so that I can essentially watch all the movies that I’m too embarrassed to actually see in theaters. What KIM CATTRALL Meant to Say

July 7th, 2007

Cosmopolitans were in short supply this week as SEX AND THE CITY fans celebrated the announcement that the much delayed movie had finally gotten the greenlight thanks to New Line Cinema. In a recent interview with a British radio station, Kim Cattrall had this to say:

“I’m really am so flattered because I feel that people actually do miss the show and the characters. I thought that the series really ended so well and to reopen it it would have to be a great script. As with any project that you do it really starts and ends with the script, you’ve got to ask the questions: Who are the characters? Where will they go? What will their journey be? Will people be interested?”

Apparently Kim Cattrall’s come to her senses. I guess an unsuccessful movie career can have that affect (Disney’s ICE PRINCESS anyone?).

Just for fun, we at theTVaddict.com thought we’d put Cattrall’s interview through ‘theTVaddict.com Mind Reader’ [patent pending] in an effort to let fans know what Cattrall meant to say [note: the Mind Reader edits are in bold].

“I’m really am so flattered because I feel that people actually do miss the show and the characters and having a job. I thought that the series my career really ended so well and to reopen it it would have to be a great script. As with any project that you do it really starts and ends with the script paycheck (Why else would I have signed on to do Disney’s ICE PRINCESS?), you’ve got to ask the questions: Who are the characters? Where will they go? What will their journey be? Will people be interested? Will this movie re-vitalize my career?
