Today’s TV Addict Top 5: Questions with SCRUBS Star Sarah Chalke

December 8th, 2009

Tonight on ABC, actress Sarah Chalke will trade in her scrubs and stethoscope for Santa when she lends her voice to PREP & LANDING, a computer-animated Christmas special (spearheaded by Pixar genius John Lasseter) that has her voicing Magee, the ultra-efficient North Pole Christmas Eve Command Center Coordinator (NPCECCC for short!). And here to preview what we’re sure ABC hopes will become an annual cash cow holiday tradition is Chalke herself, who was kind enough to take some time to talk about what it was like voicing an animated elf, in addition to of course answering some very pressing SCRUBS-related questions.

On last week’s SCRUBS season premiere, your belly spoke volumes, but your character, well, not so much. When will Elliott be returning to Sacred Heart and when she does, will her focus be more-so on J.D. or medicine?
Although my belly was in [last week's] episode more than me, I’m signed on for four episodes and when I do return Elliott will get to be involved with both J.D. and the hospital. Which is great, because the new cast is fantastic. SCRUBS was the best job I’ve ever had by far and after-season-after-season of “Oh God it’s Over!” it’s really kind of cool that the show gets to live on.

Way Too Much TV Tonight!

October 23rd, 2006

Aside from HOW I MET YOUR MOTHER (CBS 8PM) being my new favourite sitcom, one other reason to tune into tonight’s episode is for the hilarious Bryan Cranston (MALCOLM IN THE MIDDLE), making a guest appearance as Ted’s angry boss.

PRISON BREAK (FOX 8PM) returns after a three week hiatus. Is Sucre really evil? Has this been his plan all along? Does anyone really care at this point? Bring on the Michael Sara make out session!

After a week long tease, we’ll hopefully get to learn what “Save the Cheerleader, Save the World” means on HEROES (NBC 9PM). Unlike that other popular mythology-laden series, something [so far] actually happens in HEROES each and every week.

Having already seen tonight’s episode of STUDIO 60 ON THE SUNSET STRIP (NBC 10PM), I can tell you that while Lauren Graham doesn’t get a lot of screen time, she has one fantastic scene with Matthew Perry. Please tune into STUDIO 60 tonight, the TV addict does not want to see the return of FEAR FACTOR Monday’s on NBC.

Over on LifeTime, SCRUBS fans can get their Sarah Chalke fix in WHY I WORE LIPSTICK TO MY MASTECTOMY (LIFETIME 9PM). Sure the breast cancer story isn’t exactly ‘Scrubs Funny’, but Entertainment Weekly calls Sarah’s performance ‘fantastic’, and any show that helps out people dealing with cancer – this TV addict’s supports big time.
