PRISON BREAK [FOX 8PM, GlobalTV in Canada]
Do you really need to know anything outside of the fact that Michael and Sara are reunited? What’s that, you do? Okay then, how about this for a little teaser. By the time the clock strikes 10PM, a major character will no longer be with us. While the lives of one, possibly two others hang in the balance.
GOSSIP GIRL [CW 8PM, 'A' Channel in Canada]
Here’s the thing. Either Chuck and Blair spent their entire summer watching one of this TV Addicts favorite all-time guilty pleasure movies CRUEL INTENTIONS. Or something’s up with the water in the Hamptons. Because when GOSSIP GIRL returns tonight after a far too long summer hiatus. Chuck and Blair’s scheming reaches new heights, Dan has evolved into a genuine Ladies man and Nate makes a case for real-life actor Chace Crawford’s money demands by traipsing around in his boxers for half the episode. ONE TREE HILL [CW 9PM, SunTV in Canada]
Lucas makes his choice between Peyton, Lindsey and Brooke. And considering we really didn’t get why Brooke was [possibly] on the other end of that surprising finale phone call to begin with, this TV Addict’s hoping its Peyton. [Click here for OTH Showrunner Mark Schwahn's season preview]

The TV Addict and Wentworth Miller in Los Angeles, August 2008
With the two-hour season premiere of PRISON BREAK premiering tonight, this TV Addict thought that this would be as good a time as any to run our exclusive interview with star Wentworth Miller who was kind enough to take some time out of his hectic schedule to sit down with me at the Hollywood Renaissance Hotel in Los Angeles.
So I couldn’t help but notice that once again PRISON BREAK seems to have re-invented itself.
Wentworth Miller: Yeah, one of the hallmarks of the show is that we’re not afraid to take what we already know works, clear it out and re-invent it season after season. Which is risky, but I think it’s paid off so far.
Does it make it easier as an actor knowing that every season is going to be completely different?
It does keep things more interesting than your average procedural drama where the only thing that changes episode after episode is how the victim died. As an actor, it gives you a new playground to play in, which is really fun.
Speaking of new playgrounds, are you happy to be back home shooting in Los Angeles?
I liked being in Dallas and I like being on the road. It was different and lent a certain environmental difference to the show. So many shows shoot in Los Angeles, it’s almost been shot to death. I think that shooting in Chicago [season one] and Dallas [seasons two and three] really gave the show a very different visual look. That said, it’s nice to crawl into your own bed at night and you can’t put a price on that. We’ve been on the road for the past three years and it’s nice to come home.

Since not knowing what is going to happen next is half the fun of PRISON BREAK, this TV Addict thought he’d take a different approach when given the unique opportunity to sit down with actors Robert Knepper and Jodi Lynn O’Keefe at the Hollywood Renaissance Hotel. I hope you like it.
Should I read anything into the fact that the two of your are doing interviews together today, or is it purely coincidence?
Jodi Lyn O’Keefe: No we’re absolutely alluding to what’s going to happen this season. We’re teaming up, two bad guys taking over the show.
I had the chance to catch the first episode and it was a lot of fun, like every season premiere of PRISON BREAK, the show yet again reinvents itself.
Robert Knepper: A lot of stuff happens in that first episode.
Are you excited to be working together?
JL: I really am. I’ve been really looking forwarrd to wrokign with Robert. He’s been my favorite character since the beginning.
RK: Here’s a twenty [Robert passes twenty dollars to Jody!]
JL: He’s creepy and scarry and I’m really excited about our characters working together. We’ve already done one episode and I couldn’t have been happier.
RK: For the record, she kept the twenty and tucked it right into her brasier.

Since this TV Addict won’t be publishing his very own exclusive one-on-one with Wentworth Miller until Monday, I thought I’d parse some interesting tidbits I gleaned while taking part on a recent conference call that Wentworth Miller was kind enough to take part in to help promote the upcoming two-hour season premiere on September 1, 2008.
1. Was Michael’s reunion with Sara everything you hoped it would be?
Wentworth Miller: Absolutely. I was just happy to see Sara back. I really felt her absence Season Three. I felt that her return was important not only to my character, but also to the show in general. What can I say; the fans have spoken. Sara returns.
2. At what point did you realize that Sarah Wayne Callies might be coming back?
I think it was at some point during the strike that I started hearing rumors that Sarah was returning, that the fans were organizing write-ins and petitions and I think that’s emblematic of where we are in terms of television and the media. It’s very much a back and forth conversation between the fans and the writers, between the writers and the powers that be. Their opinions, especially when expressed online or via correspondence, are important and are taken into consideration.
3. Obviously reattaching someone’s head is a bit of a tall order. What can you tell us about how this comes off in the first couple of episodes?
I think that we address it as plausibly as possible. It helps that the show is kind of fantastic and I feel like we’ve gotten away with worse. But at the same time, we do provide an explanation and we don’t tease the audience. It’s not a flash of Sara’s ponytail disappearing down an ally for the first episodes, everyone wondering when she’ll actually make a face-to-face with Michael. She’s back first episode. Michael and Sara reunited, and then the gang hits the ground running because there’s work to do.

What’s the TV Addict’s take on the rumored VERONICA MARS movie? — Nick C.
The TV Addict: Nick, I can sum up ‘my take’ in three simple words: Not Gonna’ Happen. Which is the reason I didn’t bother linking to Michael Ausiello’s over-hyped story on a possible MARS movie. I mean seriously, what studio head in their right mind is going to invest a minimum of thirty to fifty million dollars on a television series that ranked 148 out of 156 in the ratings?
That’s not to say I wouldn’t love to see Kristen Bell, Jason Dohring and the entire Neptune gang in a full length feature film. I just think that Rob Thomas would be wise to consider the Joss Whedon DR. HORRIBLE approach as NYMag so cleverly suggested, “Set aside a week and $100,000, and shot a couple of mini-Mars stories for download?”
In anticipation of the Fall TV season I counted how many hours of shows I currently watch (16.5) and how many hours of new shows I will start (5.5). OMG! There’s only 21 hours of prime-time in one week to watch these! I don’t know how I’m going to do it? — Linda B.
The TV Addict: Admittedly 22 hours of television per week sounds daunting. But I think if last week’s record-breaking performance by Olympic Gold Medalist Michael Phelps taught us anything, it’s that anything can be accomplished with hard work, determination and one really big DVR. So to those of you who are asking, “Holy Crap, How am I going to fit all this TV viewing in!” This TV Addict has this to say: Stop whining and start watching! Put aside that social life, family and overrated ‘great’ outdoors for a few weeks and enjoy the madness that is September Season Premieres

Today is your lucky day.
Since this TV Addict was fortunate enough to be sent a second copy of PRISON BREAK Season Three on DVD. I thought, why not give it away.
So if you enjoy winning free stuff, simply answer the following question in the comments below. If you were unfortunate enough to be sent to prison [wrongfully convicted of course!], which PRISON BREAK star would you choose as your cellmate?
And I hope it goes without saying that theTVaddict.com is a family friend site, so be sure to keep your answers clean! One lucky winner will be chosen at random and notified via email on August 26, 2008.

When we last left the gang from PRISON BREAK: It turns out that Michael didn’t get the memo and was preparing to avenge Sarah’s death by hunting down the members of The Company.
Coming up this season: Unless you’ve had the unfortunate fate of being holed up in your own little prison cell for the past 8-12, odds are fairly good that you’ve heard the news that Dr. Sara Tancredi is back. Yet rather than spoil the season premiere and risk becoming your cell mate [at the behest of some very angry FOX executives], this TV Addict thought it best to let Sarah Wayne Callies herself do the talking [I mean it's not like they're going to kill off Sara again!] “I don’t know if it will be before the first commercial break,” explained Callies at last month’s San Diego Comic Convention. “But yes, by the end of the first airing,” fans should expect the reunion they’ve all been waiting for.

The TV Addict and Sarah Wayne Callies in Los Angeles, August 2008
Providing hope to the hundreds, possibly of thousands of television stars who unfortunately found themselves at the wrong end of an enormously gruesome knife, Dr. Sarah Tancredi is back. And at the recent FOX Fall Press Junket, this TV Addict was given the fantastic opportunity to talk to the absolutely luminous, not to mention surprisingly tall Sarah Wayne Callies about what it is like to return to the role that took her out of the library and into the homes of millions of fans around the globe.
What does it feel like to be back on PRISON BREAK this season?
Sarah Wayne Callies: It’s definitely odd from a performance standpoint, because psychologically, my relationship to ‘Sara’ was over. But I’d never come back to a character I put away and resuscitating Sara was a very new and exciting process for me. In a way I consider it great practice because there’s a history in theatre of returning to the same character and bringing something new to the role.
Also, being back at work is great. It’s a really good group of people and it’s always nice to work with people who you trust and with whom you have good relationships with.
Did the media frenzy that followed your character’s apparent beheading last fall surprise you?
Honestly, I’m pretty insulated from all the media attention. I don’t really get any magazines, I don’t have a television and I don’t allow myself to go online and look at those kinds of things. Although my husband does periodically monitor things.

Just when you thought it was safe to return to your favorite show, this TV Addict arrives with a warning.
Rest assured, “Prison Break Death Shocker!” is not a desperate attempt to attract your attention. I mean we’re talking the internet here. If eyeballs were my only concern, I’d have posted a title like “[Insert your favorite celebrity] Nude.” Seriously. You would not believe whay people spend their time at work googling. Today alone, visitors to the site have already found theTVaddict.com by searching “Mary Louise Parker Nude”, “Chace Crawford Hot” and “Jensen Ackles Girlfriend.” But I digress.
Being one of the lucky few journalists who have had the privilege of viewing the fourth season premiere of PRISON BREAK, this TV Addict just wanted to take a moment to remind fans not to get too comfortable. This is after-all the show where anything can happen, and often does.
