Welcome to our morning round-up of big/interesting TV news that you may have missed over the past 24 hours because unlike us, there’s a fairly good chance that have a life outside of the small screen.

Good News: On Monday, David Boreanaz and wife Jaime Bergman welcomed a healthy baby girl into the world. Bad News: Named Bardot, which probably won’t serve her well in the school yard. Better News: Until of course the kids realize, “Wait your dad is David Boreanaz!” [People]

Quick! What do the likes of VERONICA MARS, ELI STONE and JACK & BOBBY all have in common? Answer: they were all cancelled before their time. And you know what? We at theTVaddict.com are sick of it. We’re tired of watching our favorite shows unceremoniously dumped and replaced with super-sized installments of THE BIGGEST LOSER and DANCING WITH THE STARS.

Which is why we’ve decided to take a page from Sarah Connor and Co. and fight for the future. Their future.

Because we don’t trust you America. I mean sure, in a perfect world, TERMINATOR: THE SARAH CONNOR CHRONICLES and DOLLHOUSE wouldn’t need our help. But if the cancellations of KITCHEN CONFIDENTIAL and ARRESTED DEVELOPMENT have taught us anything, it’s that we don’t live in a perfect world, far from it. And time and time again, you, America, can’t resist flipping to the likes of WIFE SWAP, SUPERNANNY and HOWIE DO IT.

Which brings us to our plan.

If you solemnly swear (in the comments below) to tune into TERMINATOR: THE SARAH CONNOR CHRONICLES at 8PM and DOLLHOUSE at 9PM on FOX this Friday February 13th, you will automatically be entered to win an incredible TERMINATOR: THE SARAH CONNOR CHRONICLES poster autographed by stars Lena Headey, Thomas Dekker and Summer Glau.

I think it was my generations Plato, Homer Simpson who said it best. When he summed up his feelings in one succinctly brilliant word. “D’OH!”

Can someone tell me why exactly your very own TV Addict didn’t throw caution/responsibility/financial security to the wind and shell out the bucks to head to Los Angeles for last night’s FOX SUMMER TCA PARTY? I mean talk about your hindsight is 20/20. A mortgage payment would have been a small price to pay to spend the night hobnobbing with the likes of J.J. Abrams, Joss Whedon, Lena Heady, Thomas Dekker, Summer Glau, Hugh Laurie, Emily Deschanel, David Boreanaz, Wentworth Miller, Brian Austin Green, Olivia Wilde… well you get the idea.

So a quick heads up friends. If you notice anything ‘wonky’ on theTVaddict.com throughout the day. And by ‘wonky’ I mean spelling and grammar mistakes above the usual levels. Please keep in mind that they’re simply a bi-product of the incredibly large amount of tears that are pouring down on my keyboard at this very moment.

The full cast and crew were brought onto FOX’s stage, which was ominously bathed in red light for the occasion. Brian Austin Green, Garret Dillahunt, Leven Rambin, Thomas Dekker, Lena Headey, and of course, the Terminatrix Summer Glau herself. I only wish they would have had gleaming Terminator exoskeletons with piercing laser stares lining the stage to really complete the illusion.

Lena was asked about the nasty things fans had been saying (are still saying?) about her portrayal of Sarah Connor. According to producer James Middleton, fans responded to the “fire she brought to the role.” Personally, I’m interested to see what she does in season two, because I don’t think she had enough time to really get into the role that still feels like it belongs to Linda Hamilton. I don’t love her, don’t hate her, but I’m willing to wait on it. A bit.

James Middleton was asked about the challenges about working on the Terminator TV show, and the new Christian Bale Terminator movie coming out next May, and said that they both take “cues” from the original films, but that they take the orignal idea and go in two different directions. Each franchise is meant to live alone, and they’re buffeted by the idea that “fate is what you make it” – i.e. these could be different alternate realities for the different characters from Terminator.

Since this TV Addict hasn’t had time to share my thoughts on Monday’s fantastic installment of TERMINATOR: THE SARAH CONNOR CHRONICLES, I’m making amends by posting a first look at this Monday’s two-hour season finale.

Oh and dear readers [and by 'readers' I naturally mean executives at FOX]. Please note that Monday is TERMINATOR’s first SEASON finale. With emphasis on SEASON. I fully expect to be counting down the days until Connor and Co. continue the fight for the future in September 2008. Do not even think of pulling a DRIVE, PROFIT, REUNION, FIREFLY on me. Because the only thing scarier than an angry TV Addict. Is an angry TV Addict with the not-so-secret ability to build giant mechanical robots. Robots that are surprisingly adept at hunting down clueless Television executives. Don’t believe me? Just ask that guy who cancelled ARRESTED DEVELOPMENT. [Cue maniacal laugh...]

While watching last night’s installment of TERMINATOR: THE SARAH CONNOR CHRONICLES, this TV Addict couldn’t help but thinking of one thing; GILMORE GIRLS. Weird, I know… but having visited the set of THE SARAH CONNOR CHRONICLES last fall, one can’t blame me for the skewed perspective.

What the average viewer might not realize is that TERMINATOR shoots its series on the exact same Warner Bros. lot that used to be occupied by none other than America’s favorite mother/daughter duo, Lorelai and Rory Gilmore. Oddly enough, the similarities don’t end there. Consider the following.

FOX continues to make all the right moves when it comes to promoting their upcoming new series TERMINATOR: THE SARAH CONNOR CHRONICLES.

In anticipation of the shows two-night premiere on Sunday, Jan. 13 (8:00-9:00 PM ET/PT) and Monday, Jan. 14 (9:00-10:00 PM ET/PT), FOX will offer fans a one-time-only preview of the pilot episode of the new Warner Bros. Television series exclusively on Yahoo!. The commercial-free preview of TERMINATOR: THE SARAH CONNOR CHRONICLES will be available for free streaming on Yahoo! for a 24-hour period beginning Friday, Jan. 4 at 9:00 PM PT/Midnight ET. The premiere will also feature an exclusive introduction by Lena Headey (Sarah Connor).
