Question: For quite some time now you’ve been kind enough to provide your fellow TV Addicts with an incredibly useful calendar highlighting the month’s big TV events. Seriously, my cubicle at work is practically wallpapered with them and I really can’t thank you enough for your hard work. The only problem is that you totally dropped the ball when it came to August. Please explain yourself? — HookedonTVA
The TV Addict: Truthfully, the TV Addict was on strike. And by that I mean, if the networks aren’t going to bother to program quality television in August, I certainly am not going to take time away from my <strike>FREAKS AND GEEKS marathon</strike> busy schedule to help promote the return of MILLIONAIRE on ABC. Plus, between Comic Con, my much-deserved vacation and the Television Critics Association Press Tour, I simply ran out of time. That said — here in a nutshell is everything you need to know for August: MONK and PSYCH returned to USA on August 7, MAD MEN returns to AMC on August 16, PROJECT RUNWAY makes it’s Lifetime premiere on August 20, TOP CHEF returns to Bravo on August 19, while GREEK picks up exactly where it left off on ABC Family on August 31.

Question: GMMR has got me totally hooked on GREEK. Got any spoilers? — Cappietastic
The TV Addict: Are you sitting down? Because I’m about to drop an honest-to-goodness GREEK game-changer on you. A spoiler so big, it may-or-may-not rock Greek row forever. Ready for it? When the hit ABC Family series returns from hiatus on August 31 [Please take a moment to ensure that there are no spill-able liquids within your computer's proximity!] expect to see hear a proposal from a series regular.

Question: Loved your sneak peek at FRINGE’s second season premiere, but found myself wondering as to why it was completely William Bell free? — TheOtherSider
The TV Addict: Unfortunately, there is a very good reason that my little tease was completely William Bell free —because that’s exactly what the episode was. Leonard Nimoy was MIA. That said, FRINGE executive producer Jeff Pinkner did confirm at last week’s TCA panel for the show that Nimoy has already filmed one episode for season two and “is welcome back as much as he wants.”

Question: Since you missed the boat on an August TV Calendar, can you at least let us know when we can we expect to see one for September? With the new fall season just around the corner, it’s somewhat of a big deal, No?
The TV Addict: Does October work for you? But seriously folks, I assure you that I’m already strategizing ways in which I’ll be able to fit 423 season premieres on one page of 8.5 x 11″ paper. Stay tuned.

Question: As much as I’m loving the previews for V, I’m really hoping the new series won’t preclude Elizabeth Mitchell from returning to LOST. Heard anything as to when we can expect to see Juliet again? — JulietismyConstant
The TV Addict: Lucky for LOST fans, the producers of V are with you. And by ‘with you’ I mean huge fans of the the series as well. Which is why Mitchell was able to confirm at Saturday’s TCA panel for her new ABC series V that she will be heading back to Hawaii, possibly more than once. “I will be back on LOST,” teased the actress. “I can’t say whether I’m dead or not and as with all things on LOST, it will be fairly tricky.”

Question: Over the weekend, Nathan Fillion tweeted a first look at the Richard Castle manuscript for his upcoming thriller Heat Wave. I understand you were on the set. Got any scoop? — OhCaptainMyCaptainMal
The TV Addict: Taking a page from Richard Castle’s on-screen sleuthing abilities, your very own TV Addict did in fact use his <strike>spy camera</strike> iPhone to snag this exclusive photo (above) of Castle’s new book. Which, by the way will be hitting shelves on September 29th. Can’t wait that long? Click here to download the first chapter for free.

I couldn’t help but notice that you had the chance to catch FASTFORWARD over the weekend, is it all it’s cracked up to be? And more to the point, do we have ourselves a frontrunner for a LOST replacement come next season? — FFFanatic
The TV Addict: Indeed you do, and in more ways than one. Not only is the David S. Goyer (Batman Begins, The Dark Knight) produced FLASHFORWARD a top notch production across the board. Like LOST, it offers up a ridiculously good looking cast (including Joseph Fiennes, Sonya Walger, John Cho among others) — who through glimpses into the future must piece together what happened to them after the world blacks our for 2 minutes and 17 seconds, characters you’ll very quickly become emotionally invested in, and most importantly, an ending that will have you wishing you could flash forward to next week’s episode. Not to mention, continued employment for LOST alum Dominic Monaghan, who will be joining the cast in what the actor promises to be a drastically different character than Charlie.

With FOX premiering THE CLEVELAND HOW, how long until the inevitable FAMILY GUY crossover? — FamilyGuyFan42
The TV Addict: Although the production team promises that they’re trying to keep the two shows somewhat separate, Seth MacFarlane did concede at last week’s TCA event highlighting THE CLEVELAND SHOW that, “the whole Brown family shows up on FAMILY GUY for an episode in the spring.” With co-creator Mike Henry adding that “Quagmire comes to town for a very relevant-to-the-story reason — and then he refers to something that happened in Quahog — so we see Peter. But I think that’s the only time.”

Question: I’m still reeling from the PRIVATE PRACTICE season finale. Please tell me Amy Brenneman’s Violet is going to be okay. — Patient31
The TV Addict: Not only was the former JUDGING AMY star alive and well on my recent set visit (interview coming soon), she tweets!

While I’m not ready to see PRISON BREAK come to an end this Friday, I am ready to find out what goes down. Please tell me that my favorite band of [prison] breakers do not end up right back where they started (read: prison) — LincLover
The TV Addict: If I were to tell you that your favorite band of [prison] breakers don’t end up right back where they started…. well, I’d be lying. Because the fact of the matter is, at least one of your favorite Fox River inmates does in fact return from whence he came. But before you start to put your very own Michael Scofield strategy in motion in an effort to break he-or-they-who-shall-not-be-named out of prison (again!), you should probably take solace in the fact that things could end up a lot worse. After-all, Friday’s finale does offer up its fair share of shocking deaths, which we’re fairly certain is a far worse fate than five-to-ten in Fox River, right?

So excited to meet young Lily Rhodes on tonight’s GOSSIP GIRL flashback, any scoop on the episode? — Stuckinthe80s
The TV Addict: First, the bad news. With half the episode dedicated to GOSSIP GIRL’s modern day prom (more on that later), we didn’t get to spend nearly as much time in the 80’s as this TV Addict would have liked. That said, the good news is that fans of VERONICA MARS will be right at home in Lily’s world; With the episode not only opening with a nice, albeit possibly very unintentional shout-out to Neptune, but very exciting performances courtesy of MARS alum Krysten Ritter (playing Lily’s sister Carol Rhodes) and Ryan Hansen (playing the object of Ritter’s affection). With the even better news being that Lily’s story is most definitely compelling enough to have us asking, “What happens next?” and as an added bonus, the supportive sister vibe between Brittany Snow’s Lily and Krysten Ritter’s Carol may just be the ideal PRIVILEGED replacement should Sage and Rose not see a second season.

Any news on where Max and Casey are headed on GREEK? I’m worried! — TeamCappie
The TV Addict: You should be, because on tonight’s episode Max is made an offer he can’t refuse, putting the opposite attraction that is Max and Casey on hold for at least a month.

So disappointed DOLLHOUSE is over. Please tell me we haven’t seen the last of Alpha? — DollFan
The TV Addict: While I certainly wouldn’t rule out the return of Alpha, who thanks to a tour-de-force performance by Alan Tudyk may single-handidly be responsible for DOLLHOUSE getting a second shot on FOX next season. Tudyk isn’t sharing much, only going as far as to tease on a recent conference call with the TV Addict that, “Oh, the one, the bonus episode. You’ll never know until you buy the DVD on July 28.” Adding, “I don’t want to comment on my state beyond this episode [which just aired], or Alpha’s state, my fate beyond the episode totally alive, living a healthy life in Venice, California. But Alpha’s fate, it’s uncertain.”

GOSSIP GIRL. PROM. GIMME! GIMME! GIMME! XOXO — ChuckBassisMyConstant
The TV Addict: Chuck fans will scream “Mother Chucker!” when they see what Chuck has in store for Blair during tonight’s prom. No joke. It’s quite possibly the most memorable OMG-worthy moment of the series thus far.

Don’t get me wrong, I love me my Sarah Chalke on SCRUBS, but for some reason cannot stand the idea of her being the mother on HOW I MET YOUR MOTHER. Please give me some intel refuting last week’s shocking final scene. — BarneysBoy
The TV Addict: Is photographic evidence enough? If so, we think you’ll enjoy this photo of Stella (Sarah Chalke) and Tony (Jason Jones) from tonight’s installment of MOTHER, which should put an end to any and all speculation. In related news, if you’re wondering which character is finally making his (or her! or its!) long-awaited return on next week’s HIMYM season finale, simply click here to check out this TV Addict’s twitter feed where we already rewarded our followers with our first-ever Twitter Exclusive!

I cannot stop watching the “Don’t Stop Believing” trailer for GLEE. Is FOX going to be making the songs available for download anytime soon? — GleeClubMember21
The TV Addict: According to Ryan Murphy, who we had the opportunity to chat with last week, all the songs on the show will available immediately following the episode on iTunes. So if all goes according to plan, you should have “Don’t Stop Believing” at your disposal to play over, and over, and over again on May 19 after FOX unveils GLEE following the penultimate episode of AMERICAN IDOL.

Any scoop on what fans can expect from Tuesday’s FRINGE finale? — GeneralPattern
The TV Addict: Awesomeness! Or at least that’s what we took away from a recent conference call with JJ Abrams who had this to say when asked what is in store for fans come Tuesday at 9PM on FOX, “A really interesting shift in the fundamental paradigm of the show in a very cool way. What’s particularly cool about where we’re finally going now is the story is working on all the character’s strengths, over the course of the season you find what’s most exciting about a character. You’ll get a little piece of Peter’s ultimate story [in the finale], but it’s also a huge turning point for the other two characters as well.”

Hey TV Addict, LOVED your reports from Paley Festival 2009, but why no love for BIG LOVE or FRINGE? — ThePaleyAddict
The TV Addict: Simple answer: Because spending a week in Los Angeles costs BIG bucks! And between my car rental, hotel, and borderline unhealthy Pinkberry obsession, this TV Addict could only afford to live out his TV adventure for eight days. That said, aside from Paley, I was lucky enough to drop by the sets of GLEE, GREEK in addition to spending time with a few of your favorite HEROES, so stay tuned for some great interviews next week. And, on a somewhat related note, if you’re reading this and just so happen to work for a major media outlet that includes any of the following letters “E,” “W,” “T,” “V,” “Z,” “A,” “P,” “T,” “W,” “O,” “P,” “E!” and are looking for an affordable, talented and really good looking west correspond, you know my digits.

I absolutely loved this week’s Evan/Cappie scenes on GREEK. Any word on whether we’ll be seeing more of my favorite Frat Bros. together this season? — RebeccaRocks
The TV Addict: Most definitely, because as it turns out, you’re not the only one who loves the Evan/Cappie dynamic. “I want Cappie and Evan back together,” explained GREEK showrunner Sean Smith on my recent one-on-one while visiting the set of GREEK. “So it was kind of nice to find the opportunity through a secret so…” And sadly, I’ve already shared too much. But rest assured, the Cappie/Evan bromance frienaissance is making a comeback in a major way. Stay tuned…

Any truth to the rumor that THE SIMPSONS are doing a 90210 parody in an upcoming episode. — DohnutFan
The TV Addict: Don’t let the May 3rd episode title of “Waverly Hills 9-0-2-1-D’Oh” fool you. It’s not so much a 90210 parody, as a HANNAH MONTANA one; When Lisa tried to impress her new Waverly Hills classmates by telling them she knows pop star Alaska Nebraska (pictured above and voiced by special guest star Ellen Page)

I cannot tell you how many times I’ve watched “Don’t Stop Believing” on your site, please give me some news on GLEE. Anything, really, seriously, I’m obsessed with this show and it hasn’t even come out yet. — IWontStopBelieving
The TV Addict: Well, the good news is that my day on the set last week coincided with the episode Kristen Chenowith was guest starring in. With the bad news being that Chenowith was not on set, having already shot her scenes. Luckily, Jane Lynch, who plays the manipulative and hilarious cheerleading coach Sue Sylvester had this to share about Chenowith’s character, “She may play a drunk, has-been [Glee clubber] who is squatting in a McMansion in town, but she’s still got it. The voice, the moves, she really shows the kids how to put on a show.”

I couldn’t help but notice via your twitter that you got to spend an awful lot of time with the cast of HEROES this weekend, got any season finale scoop to share? — SylarsArmyMember45
The TV Addict: You mean aside from the big Sylar kill that Bryan Fuller shared with us mere days ago? How do three simple words courtesy of actress Christine Rose sound, who had this to say when posed that very same question while walking the red carpet at Sunday’s HEROES FOR AUTISM event, “Time will tell!” Make of that what you will.

Any word on who Violet’s baby daddy is on PRIVATE PRACTICE? — TeamDaly
The TV Addict: Absolutely none, and you know who you can blame for that? Showrunner Shonda Rhimes; Who is so tight-lipped when it comes to spoilers that not even her actors feel safe to speak. “I feel like Shonda Rhimes bugs my world and if I say anything… I’m just going to take the fifth and say ‘No,’” proclaimed an evasive Amy Brenneman at Sunday’s very same red carpet event for HEROES FOR AUTISM in Los Angeles. Thankfully, Brenneman did take pity on us reporters by teasing that the identity of Violet’s baby daddy “becomes secondary when something even bigger supersedes the issue in the finale.” Something that we’re guessing has something to do with Katie, the mentally unstable patient who lost her baby a few episodes ago returning to exact revenge on Violet.

I’m so back on the 90210 bandwagon, any guess as to who the rumored death is going to be? — 90210Fan
The TV Addict: Assuming irresponsible speculation is okay, we’re gonna take two shots in the dark (after overhearing a thing or two on our trip to LA) and guess that either Adrianna’s baby doesn’t make it, in order for the show to avoid awkward comparisons to the far more popular SECRET LIFE OF THE AMERICAN TEENAGER. Or, Lori Loughlin’s Momma Mills kicks it because (a) it will save the CW money (b) Momma Mills has added virtually nothing to the show, so much so that we don’t even recall her character’s actual name, and (c) it will have the greatest emotional impact on two of the most boring lead characters on TV — Dixon and Annie.

As promised, Friday’s sixth episode of DOLLHOUSE didn’t disappoint. Please tell me it wasn’t an aberration. — DrunkonDushku
The TV Addict: Rest assured, it wasn’t. With Whedon’s winning streak continuing this Friday when he reveals more of Echo’s backstory by sending her on a mission back to the very College campus that we’ve become accustomed to [...]

As promised, Friday’s sixth episode of DOLLHOUSE didn’t disappoint. Please tell me it wasn’t an aberration. — DrunkonDushku
The TV Addict: Rest assured, it wasn’t. With Whedon’s winning streak continuing this Friday when he reveals more of Echo’s backstory by sending her on a mission back to the very College campus that we’ve become accustomed to catching glimpses of in the mysterious ‘Caroline’ video. Fans will also learn how Sierra ended up in the Dollhouse, when she confronts the man responsible for putting her there (and trust me, it ain’t pretty.) Oh, and as for the big reveal that there are twenty or so Dollhouses strategically located around the world, Whedon joked on a recent conference call that it’s built-in franchising. In other-words, get ready for DOLLHOUSE: MIAMI!

What’s the word on tonight’s GOSSIP GIRL? — GossipGuy
The TV Addict: Does “ZZZZZZzzzzzz” count as a word? Because unfortunately, that is my reaction to tonight’s snooze-inducing Nate-centric story-line. Seriously. If the Dollhouse ever needs another pretty-boy to walk around with a vapid and emotionless expression on his face, Chace Crawford is their man. So much so that not even an inebriated and highly entertaining secret-spilling Blair could save tonight’s train-wreck of an episode.

Loved Friday’s episode of TERMINATOR: THE SARAH CONNOR chronicles, how about you? — LenaLikey
The TV Addict: You mean the one where John Connor finally grew a pair. No exaggeration, scenes like John’s confrontation with Jesse are why PVR’s were invented (Well, that and because it allowed me to attend my BSG Frakkin’ Finale Party worry-free.) John’s transformation from petulant emo-boy was long overdue and I for one loved getting to see a glimpse of the young man who has finally started to demonstrate that he has what it takes to fight for humanity’s future. A fight, which by the way, just got a whole lot more interesting with Friday’s future-reveal that not all robots are on the same side.

Any scoop on Rob Thomas’ CUPID re-boot? I loved the original and am cautiously optimistic about this new version. — Neptune4Eva
The TV Addict: Having completely missed the boat on the original CUPID starring Jeremy Piven and Paula Marshall I unfortunately can’t speak to how the two versions compare. What I can say, having just watched the pilot (premiering Tuesday March 31 on ABC) is that the new Bobby Cannavale and Sarah Paulson version is flirty, fun and the perfect fit on ABC, which outside of LOST is quickly becoming the CW for the older-skewing female set.

Since I’m far too lazy to read through your lengthy recap of Friday’s BATTLESTAR GALACTICA series finale, nutshell it for me: Loved it or loathed it? —HolyFrakitsOver
The TV Addict: Honestly, I’m torn. Because as much as I’m a complete sucker for a happy ending, I can’t help but feel that the one we got was an absolute betrayal of everything creator Ronald D. Moore had spent four years meticulously crafting. In one fowl swoop, the dark tone and mantra that life isn’t fair, there are no easy choices and sh*t happens was wiped away, as he took the easy way out and ended off the show with virtually every series regular alive. Joss Whedon he ain’t (and yes, we’re still reeling from [SERENITY SPOILER ALERT] Wash’s death.)

Is [you know who] really dead on BIG LOVE? — LoveAddict
The TV Addict: If this were your average run-of-the-mill television series, I would say that there is no way BIG LOVE would kill off their show’s Arvin Sloane equivalent. After-all, in television, a good guy like Bill Henrickson is only as entertaining as the villain in which he’s forced to bring down. That said, as the saying goes: it’s not TV, it’s HBO. So if I must put my money where my mouth is. Roman is 100% unequivocally dead (although I’m not about to rule out the return of Harry Dean Stanton in ghost form!)

Any word on NBC’s new Amy Poehler series PARKS & RECREATION? April 9th can’t come soon enough. — DunderMifflinDenizen
The TV Addict: Actually, it can. At least according to Nikki Finke who is reporting that a recent test screening of the pilot did not go well. With audiences characterizing the series premiere as “slow,” “tedious” and a “predictable carbon copy” of THE OFFICE. Which brings us to my completely uninformed take having not had the chance to watch the pilot: If NBC didn’t currently find itself teetering in fourth place among the major networks, PARKS & RECREATION would not have been rushed to make a spring premiere.

Obsessed Amy Acker fan here. What have you got for me? — AckerFanGirl21
The TV Addict: I’ve got good news for you because you are not alone. Turns out, Joss Whedon shares your love of both Acker and the character she plays on DOLLHOUSE. Revealing on a recent conference call that, “I love that character, not just because it’s Amy Acker, but because she wears misery and torture on her face literally. We will definitely learn how she came to this fabulous career and in the last few episodes, we get to turn the Acker up pretty hot and it’s very exciting.”

I don’t have a question, but just wanted to say how much I agree with your recent tweet that said, “Just finished watching Friday’s FRIDAY NIGHT LIGHTS. How this isn’t the most popular show on television I’ll never understand!” — Cleareyesfullhearts
The TV Addict: I know right? Between the Taylor’s dealing with Matt and Julie’s off-the-field extra-curriculers, Tyra finally giving something back to Landry, Momma McCoy allowing J.D. to escape from under the tyrannical grasp of his overbearing father and Garitty-Gate ‘09, FRIDAY NIGHT LIGHTS is truly firing on all cylinders. Begging the question, why aren’t you watching?

Got any GOSSIP GIRL scoop? I seriously cannot wait until tonight’s brand new episode. — GossipGal83
The TV Addict: Without giving too much away (because my friends at the CW really hate when I do that!) Tonight’s installment of GOSSIP GIRL is jam-packed with some seriously OMG-worthy moments. Relationships will be tested (particularly those of the ‘N’ and ‘V’ variety), surprising alliances will be formed (Leighton Meester’s real-life boyfriend Sebastian Stan returns as Carter Brazier, pictured above), and a vengeful Blair will hit the warpath in an effort to discover the identity of the person responsible for crushing her dreams. In other-words, set against the backdrop of the senior class play, leave it to the students of Constance Billard to ensure that most of the must-see-drama takes place off-stage rather than on.

I loved KINGS last night, especially my new fictional TV boyfriend David Shepherd (Chris Egan). Please tell me he is going to be okay? — DavidisthenewDamon
The TV Addict: As much as I’d love to tell you that young David Shepherd is going to be a.okay, he’s about to find himself on the wrong end of a sniper rifle’s sight. Turns out that unless you’re Captain Sully Sullenberger, being catapulted from obscurity to national hero within the span of two hours isn’t all that it’s cracked up to be. Who knew?

Two questions for your TV Addict. (1) When does 90210 come back? And (2) should I bother returning to the zip code that I once loved? — BeachBum
The TV Addict: First off, clearly someone has yet to download theTVaddict.com’s March 2009 TV Calendar that I spent countless hours meticulously crafting. For if you had, you would have already have know that 90210 returns on March 31st at a new time (9PM). And two, shockingly enough, 90210 is in fact worth watching when it returns thanks to the show’s break-out star Erin Silver (Jessica Stroup) doing something so surprising, so hilarious and let’s just say so border-line creepy that for once, come Wednesday morning, everybody will be talking about 90210 for all the right reasons.

TV Addict, you’ve been surprisingly mum on BATTLESTAR GALACTICA as of late, what’s the Frakkin’ deal? — CylonLover32
The TV Addict: My frakkin’ deal is that I’ve been so utterly disappointed with these last string of character driven (read: boring) episodes of this once thrilling and action-packed series that I’m this close to canceling the spectacular BATTLESTAR GALACTICA Frakkin’ Finale Party that myself and the Televixen have been planning for the better part of two <strike>years</strike> weeks! Of course, out of respect for the <strike>thousands</strike>, <strike>hundreds</strike> tens of people who have already been kind enough to RSVP to the party (on our facebook page) I would never do that. Plus, being the eternal optimist that I am, I’m naturally holding out hope that showrunner Ronald D. Moore took the time to re-watch his beautiful series ender for STAR TREK: DEEP SPACE NINE in an effort to jog his memory as to how to properly end a celebrated series (read: please don’t kill everyone!)

Got any DOLLHOUSE scoop? — DownWithDollhouse
The TV Addict: You know that mysterious video that Agent Paul Ballard is obsessed with? The one that shows a pre-Dollhouse Caroline (Echo) looking all normal and happy on campus. Well, on Friday’s episode, a deadly viral outbreak at that very College draws Echo back to the campus, where pieces of her past will be revealed.

Hey TV Addict, lately you’ve been on a serious roll when it comes to BATTLESTAR GALACTICA spoilers, what have you got for us tonight? — LiveStrongAnders
The TV Addict: Unfortunately, I’ve got some bad news for you that you may or may not want to hear. Tonight’s installment offers up another slow, meandering and quite frankly disappointing tale that only pays off in the exciting final act. But on the plus side, fans of both Katee Sackhoff and Grace Park in particular will be very pleased with the amount of screen-time both actresses receive.

I’m sick and tired of another episode of HOUSE that was practically Cameron and Chase free. Please tell me you’ve got some good news? — FreeCameron
The TV Addict: I do not. Because as I learned after daring to defy the most powerful man in television scoopery earlier in the week, HOUSE scoop is the sole domain of one Michael Ausiello. That said, I do in fact have some interesting HOUSE news (just so we’re clear, it’s news not scoop) that will put a smile on the face of any and all ARRESTED DEVELOPMENT fans. On the March 16th episode of HOUSE cleverly titled “Here’s Kitty,” the always hilarious Judy Greer drops by to play a nursing-home worker who fakes sick to get House’s attention after the home’s pet cat singles her out as being on death’s door by sleeping next to her. Hilarious right? Okay not so much. But as long as the episode’s writers manage to sneak in Kitty’s trademark “Say Goodbye to These!” you won’t here me complaining.

Loved last week’s episode of DOLLHOUSE but can’t help but wonder, how long is it going to take for Tamoh Penikett’s Agent Ballard to come face-to-face with Eliza Dushku’s Echo? — TeamTamoh21
The TV Addict: Well the good news, according to my man on the inside of the Dollhouse (also known as the FOX press release that was sent out to the media on Wednesday) is that Agent Ballard will come face-to-face and fist-to-fist with Echo for the very first time on March 20th. The bad news is that we’re not so sure as to how many viewers are going to be around to watch this epic confrontation when the series finale of BATTLESTAR GALACTICA airs at the very same time! Cut to opportunity to shamelessly plug the BATTLESTAR GALACTICA Frakkin’ Finale Party that theTVaddict.com is throwing in Toronto, click here for details.

Dear Mr. TV Addict, you would be legen… wait for it… dary in my books if you could give me some news about my favorite show HOW I MET YOUR MOTHER. — GirlwiththeYellowUmbrella
The TV Addict: In what will hopefully cement my legendary status, here is a first look at THAT 70’s SHOW star Laura Prepon playing Ted’s old College girlfriend Karen. Much to Lily and Marshall’s chagrin (see photo), Karen sticks around for multiple episodes starting March 9th.

Is it wrong that I’m only looking forward to KINGS because Macaulay Culkin is going to be on the show? — MacAddict
The TV Addict: We’re not going to lie, kind of (as we make the classic “Home Alone” face!) But really, who am I to judge? Do you have any idea as to how much TV I watch? Which is why I’m going to answer you straight up by revealing that while alluded to in the third episode, Macaulay Culkin’s character doesn’t actually make an on-screen appearance until the sixth episode because it turns out that he was banished from the fictional kingdom of Gilboa for a very juicy reason. One that I would love to tell you more about, but can’t spoil here, due to the aforementioned non-disclosure agreement I signed upon my recent visit to the set of KINGS.

What happened to February Sweeps? — Jeremy
The TV Addict: The traditional home of an endless parade of new episodes, jaw-dropping plot twists and special guest stars was pushed back to March this year because the networks were concerned that their viewership levels would be down thanks to <strike>the internet, video games, a five thousand channel universe,</strike> the big scary switch to digital TV. And to ensure you don’t miss any of your favorite new and returning shows this March, be sure to drop by theTVaddict.com on Monday for your March 2009 downloadable and printable calendar.

Loving the new season of 24, any scoop? — VoteBauer
The TV Addict: Since FOX took the unusual step of going out of their way to send your very own TV Addict an early copy of March 2nd’s back-to-back episodes, I’m going to go out on a limb and say that you’re not going to want to miss what will undoubtedly be a “game-changer.”

Really excited about meeting you at your just announced BATTLESTAR GALACTICA Frakkin’ Finale Party, but I just have to ask. Is TV Addict Podcast co-host Ariel going to be there? — WhattheFrak
The TV Addict: If you honestly think it’s possible to keep Ari away from a bar filled of eligible bachelors on a Friday night, well, clearly you haven’t been listening to our podcast long enough! But in all seriousness, Ari wanted me to pass along the following message, “There’s a slim chance I will be out of town… but if I am in the country there’s no where else I’d rather be.”

I’m loving the latter half of TERMINATOR but am really hoping that we get to see the robot formerly known as Cromartie get up out of that chair and cause some mayhem. Whatcha got for me? — HotforHeadey
The TV Addict: How does an exclusive from the man himself, actor Garret Dillahunt sound? According to Dillahunt, John Henry will very soon get set loose on the world, make a very dangerous friend and find himself in his first fight that acts as a “real learning experience.” Not enough for you? Check back later today for our conversation with Dillahunt in its entirity.

More BSG spoilers please, I cannot wait until tonight! — Cylon423
The TV Addict: Two words, “Amber Alert.”

Well that about wraps it up folks for this edition of “Ask the Addict.” if you’ve got a question for the TV Addict, you can email me directly at ask@thetvaddict.com or follow me on twitter at twitter.com/thetvaddict.

Dear TV Addict, as much as I loved last week’s mythology-laden episode BATTLESTAR GALACTICA, please tell me tonight’s episode involves a lot less thinking? — TighMeUp
The TV Addict: Is it just me, or are TV fans incredibly hard to please? I mean we all spend season after season clamoring for answers, only to complain the moment we finally get them! God help LOSTerminds Damon Lindeloff and Carlton Cuse when they finally fill us all in on the mysteries behind the island, the four-toed statue, Ben’s mom, Claire’s disappearance, Jack’s father… well, you get the idea. But to answer your question, rest assured tonight’s episode is far less taxing on the brain cells. Not only does Ellen Tigh return in all her former glory, she gives new meaning to the phrase, “If this Viper is a rockin’…. don’t come a knockin!”

I have an unhealthy obsession with Jonathan Jackson, can you please tell me we are going to see more of him on TERMINATOR: THE SARAH CONNOR CHRONICLES. — Jackson1
The TV Addict: I can do one better than simply tell you, I can be the first to reveal to you exclusively that Jonathan Jackson will indeed (all together now) be back, for multiple episodes no less. “Kyle Reese is the kind of character that fans are excited about and is good for the show,” revealed Jackson during last week’s one-on-one with theTVaddict.com. “I’ve shot three episodes so far and I’m about to shoot a fourth in a couple of weeks. A lot of stuff has been in the future, and Brian Austin Green who plays Derek has been great. Such a good guy and a great actor to work with.”

A while back you twittered that you were getting ready to see Lauren Graham in GUYS & DOLLS on Broadway. So… how was she? — StarsHollowHolla
The TV Addict: Well let’s put it this way. Had Rory Gilmore been reviewing the show for the Yale Daily News, she definitely wouldn’t have walked out. In fact, she would have been immensely proud of her fictional TV mom for not only proving that she has the pipes to belong on Broadway. But for more importantly showing that she can actually act and create a character that was hilarious, heartwarming and best of all, absolutely nothing like Lorelai Gilmore. Miss Patty would have been proud… and we’re just going to say, possibly a little jealous.

Got any scoop on Tuesday’s season finale of PRIVILEGED? — Sagetastic13
The TV Addict: Would you settle for a warning? Because if you can’t find the time to rope in at minimum five of your friends into watching one of the season’s most underrated new shows, you’re more likely to catch what will turn out to be the show’s series finale. For more on PRIVILEGED, be sure to check out this <strike>week’s</strike> month’s TV Addict podcast for our spur-of-the-moment SAVE PRIVILEGED campaign!

Any word on how the new season of REAPER is shaping up? — IHeartHarrison
The TV Addict: I will next week after I take the time to crack open the REAPER screener that’s been collecting dust on my desk for the better part of a month now. Stay tuned.

Please tell me tonight’s installment of DOLLHOUSE brings a little more excitement to the table? Because even I, the most ardent of ardent Whedon supporters found last week’s pilot seriously subpar. — WildaboutWhedon
The TV Addict: First of all, do you seriously expect me to believe you’re one of Whedon’s most ardent of ardent supporters when you’re already waving after episode one. Shame one you! That said, you’ll be pleased to know that tonight’s second episode introduces us to an entirely different Echo. One that must outwit, outplay and outlast one ridiculously deranged “client.” Oh, and if that’s not enough of an assurance, how’s this picture? Eliza + Crossbow = Awesome

Ellen Tigh returning to Galactica? Are you Frakkin’ kidding me with this? Where’s the scoop? Anyone could have picked that up from the Frakkin’ trailer? What else ya got? — TotallyFrakkedinTdot
The TV Addict: Putting aside the fact that somebody clearly woke up on the wrong side of the bed, or is taking the fact that we’re a mere month away from Galactica’s final voyage a little too hard, how’s this for genuine TV scoop: Another death hits Galactica tonight, one that will have major implications for the already tenuous human/cylon alliance.

Oh and while we’re on the subject of your cranky moods Mr. TotallyFrakkedinTdot, I should probably take this opportunity to mention that theTVaddict.com has some exciting BATTLESTAR GALACTICA news in the works that is pretty much guaranteed to turn that frown upside-down. Unless of course you live outside of Toronto or the surrounding GTA. Then you’re pretty much still totally Frakked!

I’m finding myself more and more intrigued by the increasingly frequent KINGS trailers that NBC is putting out. What can you tell me about this new series? — Jess
The TV Addict: Having recently had the pleasure of visiting the set of KINGS there is an awful lot I could tell you. Unfortunately, after signing a twenty page document that may or may not have promised my first born to NBC Universal should I share any spoilers, here’s what I can say. While you’ll initially tune in for Ian McShane’s phenomenal portrayal of morally ambiguous King Silas Benjamin, you’ll stick around for easy on the eyes Aussie import Christopher Egan who plays young David Shepherd and Leighton Meester’s real-life boyfriend Sebastian Stan who does a remarkable job of channeling GOSSIP GIRL’s Ed Westwick. Which if you think about it, kind of means that Leighton Meester really does have a thing for Chuck Bass. Interesting.

Want more KINGS scoop? Enjoy this exclusive bloggers Q&A that TV Addict took part in on our recent visit to New York City. And be sure to check back later in the day for a word or two from Ian McShane.

Hey TV Addict, as a loyal <strike>stalker</strike> follower of yours on twitter, I couldn’t help but notice that you’re off to New York this weekend, Can I ask why? — NotaStalker21
The TV Addict: Certainly! After-all, this column ain’t called “Ask the Addict” for nothing. What originally was going to be a quick visit to the set of NBC’s exciting new series KINGS on Thursday turned into a full blown weekend extravaganza after your very own TV Addict was lucky enough to secure tickets to Lauren Graham’s Broadway debut in GUYS & DOLLS and a press pass to this weekend’s New York Comic Con. Where if all goes according to plan, I’ll be live blogging throughout the day on Sunday as I sit front row center in the DOLLHOUSE, FRINGE, LIFE ON MARS & CHUCK panels.

As per your earlier tweet, do you seriously expect us to believe that you’re doing “brunch with Michael Urie and Becki Newton?” — Jason
The TV Addict: Ummm…. no. But if it helps, here’s a little breaking news. Michael Urie (@michaelurie) is officially following the TV Addict on twitter. Which as everybody who is anybody knows, is the first step to what will undoubtedly be the start of a beautiful bromance!

Were you connected enough to snag tickets to this weekend’s Bradley Cooper hosted installment of SATURDAY NIGHT LIVE? — ArvinSloaneismyConstant
The TV Addict: Sadly, no. But that doesn’t mean you, yes you, can’t help make this TV Addict’s dream come true. If your name is Lorne Michaels or you just so happen to be incredibly well connected within the hallowed hallways of 30 Rockefeller Center, please feel free to email me anytime at info@thetvaddict.com.

I’m still reeling from Friday’s Fraktastic BATTLESTAR GALACTICA cliffhanger. Please tell me Friday’s conclusion is just as exciting? — BaltersBoy
The TV Addict: Having already had the pleasure of seeing Friday’s episode, there’s a heck of lot I could tell you. But before I do, let me ask you: Do you really want me to take all the fun out of the episode by spoiling it? And more importantly, is there any chance you would reward my kindness by hooking me up with a spare ticket to this weekend’s SATURDAY NIGHT LIVE?

Is there anything you can tell me that will assuage my fears about DOLLHOUSE? ˆ— WhedonEqualsLife
The TV Addict: How’s this for news you can use. Episode two, entitled “Target,” is a huge step up from the somewhat of a downer series premiere. In fact, thanks to the perfect mix of a butt-kicking scantily clad Eliza Dushku, equally revealing flashbacks that shed some much needed light on how certain members found employment at the mysterious Dollhouse and the intriguing additions of a victimized Amy Acker (ANGEL) and a skeptical Mark Sheppard (BATTLESTAR GALACTICA) “Target” is everything the DOLLHOUSE pilot should have been. So much so that I’m quite frankly shocked that the proverbial powers that be at FOX didn’t decide to launch the series with it.

Any thoughts with regards to yesterday’s scoop courtesy of Michael Ausiello that Christine Baranski will be joining the cast of UGLY BETTY as the mom of Betty’s new love interest Matt. —
The TV Addict: I believe EW.com commentator Amanda took the words right of my mouth when she said, “Another love interest? This is what, the sixth or seventh now? For someone who is supposedly “Ugly”, Betty is quite the office mattress!”

Please tell me that you’re back on the bandwagon after HEROES incredible return on Monday. — SylarsArmyMember666
The TV Addict: If by “back on the bandwagon” you mean cautiously optimistic, well, then yes. Now that’s not to say that Monday’s phenomenal final moments made up for the lackluster 55 minutes that preceded it. They simply may have been enough to keep me coming back until Bryan Fuller’s first episode premieres.

Okay spill, I need to know what happens on Friday’s BSG — IamtheFinalCylon
The TV Addict: Friday’s episode features not just one, but two major character deaths. Care to know who bites the dust? How are those SNL tickets coming along?

Got any LOST scoop? — FuselageFanGirl15
The TV Addict: According to our friends over at spoiler-tv.com, LOSTerminds Damon Lindelof and Carlton Cuse are currently on the look out for “George,” a 10 year old child prodigy with brown hair and brown eyes who is sharp, very intelligent and extraordinarily gifted science student and musician.

Fine, I get it, no BSG scoop for me! Just tell me Adama and Tigh don’t end up one the wrong end of a double barreled shotgun (Or whatever kind of weaponry those treacherous bastards on Galactica are using!) — IamtheFinalCylon
The TV Addict: Okay here’s the deal. You know that clip that has been circulating around the net this week that show Adama in front of a firing squad…. it is all a dream! But come’on, you didn’t really think that Adama and Tigh would end up being killed with only seven episodes remaining? Did you? Unfortunately, the same can’t be said for one of Tigh’s final five compatriots. Who not only ends the episode off with his life hanging in the balance, but also gets the distinct honor of serving as Friday’s cliffhanger.

Where the Frak have you been? Do you think you can just throw up an “Ask the Addict” anytime you damn well feel like it? I have needs you know! — TVLover28

The TV Addict: Look people, “Ask the Addict” is a two way street. One that only works when you actually take the time to you know, ASK THE ADDICT! Which is why we’re back. Because it turns out that more than a few of you <strike>have yet to discover google</strike> have some really great TV questions which I’m going to do my absolute best to help answer. Ready….

I’ve been pulling my hair out all week long trying to find a pair of 3D glasses in time for Monday’s 3D episode of CHUCK. Help me TV Addict, you’re my only hope. — DownWithFulcrum

The TV Addict: The good news is that according to our sources, and by sources I of course am referring to NBC’s official CHUCK news page, 3D glasses can be picked up for free at any of the the following retail locations: Kroger, Ralph’s, Frys, Safeway/Vons, Supervalu, Food Lion, A & P, Pathmark, Coburns, Fresh Brands, Hy Vee, Nash Finch, Roundy’s, Winn Dixie, K-Mart, Dollar General, Hess (select stores), CVS (select geographies), Meijer (on 1/31) and Target (on 1/31). CHUCK’s big news page also claims that, “Should a display’s supply of glasses run out or if a retailer near you does not carry the glasses, consumers can call 1-800-646-2904 to obtain a pair for free.”

The bad news is that if you currently reside outside the United States you’re pretty much out of luck. <strike>Unless of course you can scrounge together a cheap pair of plastic sunglasses, a red and blue permanent marker (ie. Sharpie) and a flat piece of clear plastic (ie. a transparency sheet) which combined, can easily be MacGyver’d together to create your very own pair of 3D glasses. Assuming of course you can follow these ridiculously instructions (Click for Video)</strike>

[Update] After checking in with our good friends over at NBC publicity, we’ve been informed that our attempt to MacGyver together our very own pair of 3D glasses will not work! Furthermore, viewers must use the “Color Code” glasses as the footage has been processed so it works with the Color Code technology.” D’oh!

Please tell me tonight’s episode of BATTLESTAR GALACTICA more than makes up for what Michael Ausiello called last week’s, “painfully tedious and self-indulgent art film.” — AusholeCharterMember#4

The TV Addict: What can I really tell you about tonight’s episode of BATTLESTAR GALACTICA other than it’s FRAKtastic? Well, it turns out a lot. Because I recently had the pleasure of viewing what I’m calling BSG meets Valkyrie and holy Frak it rocked! Sworn enemies are forced to work together to quash a Zarak and Gaeta led revolt, Starbuck and Lee Adama heat up the flight deck by doing their best Mr & Mrs. Smith impersonation and to cap it all off, the episode ends on a “to be continued…” so exciting that we pretty much can guarantee the death of at least one (possibly two) major characters when the episode concludes.

Is there any hope for a fourth season of FRIDAY NIGHT LIGHTS? — shanemd (via twitter)

The TV Addict: It certainly look so, at least according to Brian Stelter’s incredibly informative TV Decoder Blog which reported this week that, “Ben Silverman, the co-chair of NBC Entertainment, sounds hopeful about a fourth season of the critically acclaimed drama.”

I need 3cc’s of HOUSE scoop, Stat! — ThirteenHater

The TV Addict: Since your insurance only covers you for 2cc’s a scoop, you’re going to have to settle for the following. On Monday’s 100th episode of HOUSE, Foreman’s attempt to sneak Thirteen into the clinical trial will have serious reprecussions for both of their careers. While two of your favorite Princeton Plainsboro docs start off the episode in under the sheets.

Any update on the ARRESTED DEVELOPMENT movie? — BlueMan4ever

The TV Addict: No. But, if you live in Toronto, fall between the ages of 17 and 27 and would like the opportunity to ask lone hold-out Michael Cera himself why he has yet to officially sign on the dotted line, stay tuned to theTVaddict.com next week to discover how you can become an extra on his upcoming film Scott Pilgrim vs. The World.

Any word as to when the final three episodes of PUSHING DAISIES are going to air? — to_paraphrase (via twitter)

The TV Addict: The facts are these: No. But I can tell you that “the episodes were fantastic!!!” thanks to our good friends over at thepiemaker.com who were lucky enough to be invited by Bryan Fuller himself to a very <strike>special</strike> exclusive screening of the final three episodes held for the DAISIES cast and crew. And in case you’re wondering, no we’re not at all insanely jealous that our good friends over at thepiemaker.com got to spend an evening with the entire cast of PUSHING DAISIES. Really.

I heard a rumor that PUSHING DAISIES is done as a series and seeing as you are the most in the know person I know. Is this true? Or have I been bamboozled? — Dan B.

The TV Addict: The facts are these. People stopped using the term Bamboozled in 1931. But seriously, as dreadful as PUSHING DAISIES’ ratings have been — and they have been dreadful. ABC has yet to bury the show six feet under. Which is why if you really, and I mean really care about the fate of Ned, Chuck, Olive and Emerson you will be sure to not only tune into a brand new episode of PUSHING DAISIES at 8PM tonight on ABC, but knock on every house on your block and convince your neighbors to do the same.*

*Please Note: theTVaddict.com does not condone door-to-door begging and pleading in an effort to raise the ratings of your favorite shows. Unless those shows were among my dearly departed brilliant-but-cancelled favorites such as EVERWOOD, JACK & BOBBY, GROSSE POINTE, ARRESTED DEVELOPMENT and KITCHEN CONFIDENTIAL.

Can you please explain to me how KNIGHT RIDER got a full season pick up before EVERY OTHER SHOW ON THE FACE OF THE EARTH? — Jenn

The TV Addict: What’s that? You’re not buying my theory that NBC President Ben Silverman is secretly the fifth and final Cylon who has given a starring role to a talking car with the hopes of secretly pushing his pro-machine agenda on an unsuspecting public. Well then, how does this slightly more plausible theory from frequent friend-of-the-site John Kubiceck sound, “Even with modest ratings, NBC is making so much money from Ford by having KNIGHT RIDER on the air that Ben Silverman would be an idiot in these tough economic times to give up such a lucrative deal just because the show is bad. Making money with crap like that is what allows NBC to keep airing low-rated stuff like CHUCK and 30 ROCK.”

Of course this TV Addict would be remiss if I didn’t point out to Mr. Kubiceck that (a) I’m not sure we know exactly how much NBC is getting to keep the super-sized Ford commercial that is KNIGHT RIDER on the air. And (b) CHUCK is no stranger when it comes to insanely intrusive SMALLVILLE levels of product placement [See: Recent <strike>sales pitch</strike> story-line featuring Michael Strahan and MADDEN '09.]

I’m still confused over your assertion that IN TREATMENT has been cancelled. Please clarify. — Marisa

The TV Addict: Now this may come as a shock to some, but it turns out that this TV Addict isn’t perfect. I mean who knew that sitting in front of a buteiful high defanition flatt screen for houres on end wuld be detrimental to my smarts? [TV Addict Note: Unlike my usual poor uses of spelling and grammar, the previous sentence of typos was purely for comedic effect.]

Which is why I’m here to apologize to fans of IN TREATMENT everywhere. All ten of you. Embarrassingly enough, I’ve been confusing IN TREATMENT’s cancellation, or lack there of, with TELL ME YOU LOVE ME. So to clarify, a second season of IN TREATMENT is officially moving forward with Hope Davis on board to play Mira, a high-powered malpractice lawyer and FRASIER’s John Mahoney signing on the dotted line to play Bill, a CEO who finds that life is passing him by.

Please tell me that this is some sort of sick joke and that Ben Silverman did not just pick up KNIGHT RIDER for a full season? — Dave

The TV Addict: If it helps, things could be much worse. Ben Silverman could have taken a page from Showtime’s playbook and renewed KNIGHT RIDER for two seasons. Now I know what you’re thinking, Showtime’s playbook? Well in case you haven’t heard, America’s favorite serial killer DEXTER was just renewed for two more seasons. [See Press Release] Which aside from TERMINATOR: THE SARAH CONNOR CHRONICLES full season pick-up is some of the most gratifying news to come from the world of television in quite some time.

Who is Luke Grimes? — WalkerFan42

The TV Addict: Luke Grimes won this week’s casting lotto by beating out Jason Ritter [among others] for the role of long-lost Walker brother Ryan Walker. Coming in a close second is SMALLVILLE’s John Glover. Who according to Michael Ausiello, robbed Victor Garber of the perfect ALIAS reunion by nabbing the role of Saul’s love interest for an upcoming three episode story arc.

I can’t help but notice that you seem to, some might say gratuitously, plug Michael Ausiello quite a lot on theTVaddict.com. Yet Ausiello has yet to give your site a much deserved shout out. What’s the deal? — Jake

The TV Addict: Yes Mike [Can I call you Mike?] what is the deal? Especially when you had the perfect opportunity to mention theTVaddict.com alongside your answer to Anne’s question about the possibility of PRIVILEGED getting a full season pick up.

For future reference, rather than simply mention that you “heart Joanna Garcia… the CW has ordered additional scripts… and things are looking good for a full-season pickup.” You could have further championed PRIVILEGED by tacking on to the end of your answer that just yesterday showrunner Rina Mimoun revealed to theTVaddict.com [optional: in a highly entertaining and comprehensive interview] that EVERWOOD star Gregory Smith will very likely be dropping by Palm Beach should PRIVILEGED get that full season pick-up. See how that works Mikey! Quid pro quo.

What can you tell me about HBO Canada? — Northofthe49

The TV Addict: Not only can this TV Addict barely contain my excitement that HBO is [finally] coming to Canada [as part of the TMN subscription package] starting on October 30. I can do one better by pointing you towards November’s HBO Canada schedule [three cheers for REAL TIME WITH BILL MAHER!], which you can check out by clicking here.

KNIGHT RIDER, are you F*ck**g kidding me! — SilvermanSucks

The TV Addict: Hey, Don’t shoot the messenger. Because seriously, if this TV Addict ran a television network. Things would be different. Namely EVERWOOD, JACK & BOBBY, THE WEST WING, GROSSE POINTE, ARRESTED DEVELOPMENT and KITCHEN CONFIDENTIAL would all still be on the air. KNIGHT RIDER would be roadkill. Keri Lynn Pratt and Liza Weil would have their own hour long Amy Sherman-Palladino project in development. And networks with procedural dramas ‘ripped from the headlines’ would be limited to two per week.
