It’s incredible to think that GREY’S ANATOMY has been a part of countless lives for this many years. Some of us have grown up during the show; others are just now finding it via online streaming services such as Netflix. We’ve seen these characters grow, we’ve seen them fail, we’ve seen them succeed, we’ve seen them surpass obstacles that life has thrown at them and we’ve seen the storylines take turns that no other show had ever dared to do. Tonight’s all-new episode of GREY’S ANATOMY will be one full of nostalgia as they’ll be paying homage to the characters that made this show what it is today — one of the most beloved medical hit dramas to ever hit our television screens!

In the sneak peek below, we see Meredith tell Alex that she feels like she’s hallucinating as two young adults begin bickering whilst being trapped in a crushed and broken-off rollercoaster car — she’s immediately reminded of George and Christina. Alex, on the other hand, seems dumbfounded by her thoughts.

Meanwhile, during the promo, we immediately hear the song “Chasing Cars,” and, as you all know from watching this show, this song is extremely meaningful in Shonda’s medical hit drama as this was the song we heard when Izzy lost Denny during the second season and completely broke our hearts. Little did we know, we’d have a playlist full of songs that not only captured significant moments for the Grey Sloan doctors, but made every single one of us sob

GREY’S fans, are you ready for TGIT? GREY’S ANATOMY returns tonight with a special 2-hour premiere event to begin a highly-anticipated Season 14. When we last saw our favorite doctors they were fighting a fire inside Grey Sloan and we witnessed the departure of Dr. Edwards. Meredith had broken the news to Nathan about his presumed-dead fiancé (Megan) and Owen, alongside Amelia, had arrived at the Army Hospital to greet her. There’s some love triangle complications coming and if we know this show at all, it will be a rollercoaster ride.

Past and present relationships will take center stage this season. With Riggs having Megan back in his life, Meredith is on the backburner for now — or is she? The teaser below shows us that she’s certainly not going anywhere. Owen and Amelia have had a rough time during their marriage recently, but Amelia being beside him and supporting him whilst his sister is undergoing medical treatment might bring them closer — at least that’s what we hoped. With Teddy back in Owen’s life, is their marriage in more danger than before? And lastly, there seems to be something brewing between Jackson and Maggie — at least that’s what April said during the finale.

Meanwhile, Bailey is forced to give the hospital a facelift after the fire. In the sneak peek below, she gives the doctors an update on the hospital’s condition. Arizona also deals with her relationship and Jo gives an update about Stephanie’s whereabouts.

During the premiere, Jo will make a surprising choice regarding Alex, and Andrew’s sister’s controversial research leads to a shocking discovery.

Last week’s episode was indeed one of the most heartbreaking episodes of the season for GREY’S ANATOMY as Maggie saw her mother lose the battle to cancer. Tonight, we’ll see her on her first day back at Grey-Memorial Hospital where she’s determined to get back in the OR. Will she be able to handle the stress?

We’ve always known Maggie to be a rational person. She’s always been the voice of reason, never taking too much of a risk with anything, except in the place where she excels — the operating room. Only this time, in the sneak peek below, Maggie is about to operate on the tiniest fetal heart she’s ever operated on and everyone is concerned about her state of mind. Feeling completely confident that she can perform the surgery now — and feeling unsupported by her peers and friends — she begins to have doubt and freezes during surgery. Will she react to the situation and save the patient’s life? Or will the doubt in her mind keep her from moving?

Last week’s episode brought us to tears when Maggie found out that her mother was not seeking the breast augmentation she claimed. Her diagnosis was much worse — it was breast cancer. Tonight’s highly anticipated episode of GREY’S ANATOMY will have Maggie and Meredith at a crossroads as each has different opinions over Diane’s next medical course of treatment.

In the sneak peek below, Meredith and Maggie explain to Diane that the cancer has spread down to her liver. With both of them having alternative viewpoints and considering the gravity of the news to Diane, Meredith wants her to sleep on it before making any decision. However, Maggie has made up her mind to remove it with the hope of suppressing the amount of pain her mother has endured.

Diane, seeing how strongly Maggie wants to tackle the tumor, seems to agree with her daughter’s suggestion. Because Meredith’s professional opinion was to not remove the cancer — and because she sees how the clinical trial Maggie pushed for is deteriorating Diane’s health — Meredith tries to talk her half-sister out of causing her mother any more pain. Maggie lets her know that she’s not giving up on her mother. Actually, as she so bluntly says to Meredith, it’s her that’s throwing Diane “mother down the drain” by giving up.

In the world of Shonda Rhimes’ GREY’S ANATOMY relationships are at the very core of the popular television series. In tonight’s all-new episode, those relationships will be tested as the doctors at Grey-Sloan Memorial hospital go face-to-face with their loved ones in order to mend their differences.

In the sneak peek below, Amelia is back at Grey-Sloan and continues to avoid Owen. Clearly upset over the situation they’ve been in for weeks, he finally has the opportunity to confront her with the question we’ve all had on our minds — “Are you ever coming home? Or not?” Honestly, I sure hope she does — haven’t they both suffered enough in their previous relationships? I smell reconciliation, at least I hope for one.

Elsewhere in the hospital, Meredith and Riggs have been dragging out what I believe is an inevitable relationship. They have been hinting at this for months now, but will Mer go “all in” as Riggs declared he would last week? As the clip below suggests, she’d like him to be more likeable and serious towards her and those she holds dear. Will Riggs make the necessary changes to be with her?

Meanwhile, after weeks of tension between Bailey and Richard, she tries to mend her relationship with her previous mentor and long-time friend.

Tensions couldn’t be higher on tonight’s all new episode of GREY’S ANATOMY when April is appointed the new interim Chief of General Surgery — a replacement for Meredith after being suspended by Bailey.

In the sneak peak below, April lets Webber know that Warren will be the head surgeon on an operation that was Webber’s to begin with. Arizona, whilst listening in, is clearly annoyed and upset about this new situation. However, April’s facial expressions and tone of voice make it quite clear that she does not want to be doing this. It’s easier to push away someone you don’t know or have a relationship with, but when the person enforcing the change is someone you’ve known for a long time — as it is in April’s case versus Webber and the attendings — that becomes more difficult for all sides.

Meanwhile, the residents are excited for Eliza’s next phase of teaching, but they spend the day caught between the warring attendings.

Meanwhile, Maggie gets a surprise visit from her mother at the hospital. Bailey has to make a decision when one of the attendings refuses to work with Eliza, and Stephanie gets caught up in Owen and Amelia’s personal drama.

To say it’s been a long winter hiatus would be an understatement as tonight’s all-new episode of GREY’S ANATOMY takes the doctors of Grey-Sloan Memorial through unprecedented situations. The most common of them being associated with prison — Alex and the possibility that he may very well end up behind bars, and Jo, Bailey, and Arizona visiting a prison to treat a violent patient.

In the sneak peek below, we see Bailey, who is clearly not happy to be attending to a patient in a prison — let alone one who’s pregnant and 16-years old. Arizona, while trying to stay positive, ultimately agrees with Bailey’s thoughts. Jo, on the other hand, is more on the defensive end because, unbeknownst to them, she’s been in difficult situations before where violence was a means to her survival. Here’s to hoping Jo’s compassion and personal connection doesn’t end up backfiring on her.

Meanwhile, we’re all at the edge of our seats, anxiously waiting to know if Alex turned himself in and are curious to know how the outcome of Maggie rounding-up all the doctors in favor of Richard will play out with Dr. Eliza Minnick coming in to take his position — especially with Bailey.

Ladies and gentlemen, sisterly drama is upon us. In tonight’s GREY’S ANATOMY, Riggs suggests Meredith tell Maggie the truth about them.  But will she break the news?

Maggie finally had the courage to ask Riggs out last week but, unfortunately for her, he let her down…but not before giving her a sense of hope.  You see, he said he wasn’t ready to date anyone (other than Mer, but that’s unbeknownst to Maggie). Therefore, Maggie’s hopes are up and it seems like she’ll wait for him to be ready.

In the sneak peek below, Riggs lets Mer know he feels terrible for turning Pierce down; making Meredith feel bad for telling her own sister to let go of a “good thing”. Did you catch that? Because her new love interest did and is very excited to be considered a “good thing.”

Oh, Meredith.

In this post-Derek era on GREY’S ANATOMY we knew Meredith would eventually start moving on, right? We didn’t actually think she’d be left without a love interest, did we? The fact of the matter is that there is definitely something going on between Mer and Riggs that we can’t deny. During last week’s premiere episode we saw Meredith promise to keep no secrets from Maggie — who just so happens to have a huge crush on Riggs and yet she omitted her “involvement” with him last season.

In the sneak peek below, Meredith warns Riggs that Maggie plans on asking him out and then asks him to politely reject her — that’s really sisterly, Meredith. Are you falling in love with the guy your sister is crushing on? He certainly thinks so by responding, “Oh, so she doesn’t know that you’re madly in love with me?” Meredith denies it, but is she on the verge of making that leap? If so, suspect some serious sisterly drama in the future.

Meanwhile, Meredith considers her loyalties as Alex deals with the consequences of his actions. Newlyweds Amelia and Owen will host their first dinner party with unlikely guests and Jackson proposes an arrangement to help April through her recovery.
