THE LIBRARIANS is returning for its fourth season with two back-to-back episodes (with one of them serving as a Christmas storyline). In fact, when they return our heroes will be facing off against Santa’s brother the Patron Saint of Thieves. Elsewhere in the season, they’ll try to save a town plagued by ghosts from the Civil War, battle a casino that steals luck, endure a body switching fiasco, and join forces with a time traveling Librarian from the past.
But the season-long arc will revolve around the Library itself. With Charlene no longer tethered to the mythical place, one Librarian and one Guardian must tie themselves to the Library so that it can remain grounded to humanity. Jenkins will organize the Tethering Ceremony (which you can get a glimpse of in the video below), which will bond Flynn and Eve to the Library forever and grant them immortality.
Enter a woman from Flynn’s past, who reveals herself as one of the Library’s dirty little secrets. And this prompts the Librarians to ask themselves whether the Library itself is good or evil and whether having multiple Librarians at one time is dangerous.
THE LIBRARIANS returns with an all new episode on December 13 at TNT.
