Good News: Your very own TV Addict just had the pleasure of screening CASTLE’s much-anticipated September 19th season premiere. Bad News: On the condition that we don’t, under any circumstances, reveal — and we quote — “any information about Beckett’s [redacted] words in the episode.” Luckily for fans of the hit ABC series, said aforementioned request on behalf of ABC’s publicity department didn’t mention anything about words associated with Alexis (Molly C. Quinn), Josh (Victor Webster) and newly appointed Precinct Captain Victoria “Iron” Gates (Penny Johnson Jerald), all three of whom had an awful lot to say on the subject of Castle, his increasingly dangerous relationship with Kate and what exactly he’s still doing playing author turned cop (Or as Captain Gates so eloquently put it, “Dilettante Writer turned Cop.”)
In short, fans who have been patiently waiting all summer long to find out what happens following the shocking aftermath of Beckett’s shooting and Castle’s admission of “I love you” will not be disappointed, particularly when it comes to the somewhat unexpected direction that creator Andrew Marlowe has decided to take the show’s central will-they-or-won’t-they-couple. Add to that a handful of truly memorable moments for Ryan and Esposito, not to mention some juicy new intel surrounding the ever-expanding mystery that is the death of Beckett’s mom and we’re fairly confident in proclaiming this upcoming fourth season premiere as being right up there as one of CASTLE’s finest hours to date.
CASTLE returns with new episodes on September 19th at 10PM on ABC (CTV in Canada) and stars Nathan Fillion, Stana Katic, Susan Sullivan, Molly C. Quinn, Jon Huertas, Tamala Jones, Seamus Dever and Penny Johnson. Catch up with past episodes you may have missed for free online at clicktowatch.tv.
