Am I the only one that thinks 30 Rock IS NOT FUNNY?? Pee Wee Herman's appearance was great, but otherwise I barely crack a smile. I don't know who's pulling the strings, but this show is absolutely not Emmy-worthy. It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia should be getting this kind of attention!

I'm happy to see some people getting recognized like Chandra Wilson, HIMYM and Family Guy but I was really hoping Jill Scott would get a nod for No. 1 Ladies Detective Agency. A Black woman has not even been nominated in that category for decades.

And the Emmys really needs to switch it up. I don't watch cause it's the same damn nominees and even the slight difference is still too little. What about Psych for comedy series (hilarious) or Leverage (new, clever). Just so many good new shows.

My choices (in the categories where I actually watch at least one of the shows -- and including some personal picks that didn't actually make it)...

Drama -- 1st Choice: Lost; 2nd Choice: House

Lead Actor in Drama
- 1st Choice: Edward James Olmos, BSG (not actually nominated)
- 2nd Choice: Hugh Laurie, House (my only real choice)
- 3rd Choice: James Spader, Boston Legal (not actually nominated)

Lead Actress in Drama: Sally Field (again, my only choice)

Supporting Actor in Drama
- 1st Choice: Michael Emerson, Lost
- 2nd Choice: Josh Holloway, Lost (not actually nominated)
- 3rd Choice: Christian Clemenson, Boston Legal
- 4th Choice: William Shatner, Boston Legal

Supporting Actress in a Drama: Elizabeth Mitchell (not actually nominated)

Guest Actor in Drama
- 1st Choice: Michael J. Fox (my only choice; good performance, but I hated his character)
- 2nd Choice: Ernest Borgnine (wow, that was one of the few episodes of ER I actually watched this year)

Host of Reality Competition: Jeff Probst, Survivor (my only choice)

Reality Program -- 1st Choice: Mythbutsters; 2nd Choice: Dirty Jobs

Animated Program: South Park (odd that Star Wars: The Clone Wars isn't at least nominated)

I'm really rooting for Michael C Hall to take home the gold this year. Happy for Michael Emerson of course. No love for Jack Bender (directing, LOST) is not very nice. There is NOTHING on TV that even comes close to LOST in directing.

Comedy is such a difficult thing nowadays because the style of comedy spreads so far apart. It's hard to believe Chuck, Pushing Daisies, 2.5 Men, 30 Rock, SNL, Monk, and Desperate Housewives are all judged the same. If it's really about making me laugh (comedy, right???) then it's 30 Rock and It's Always Sunny in Philly by a mile.
