Soap Fans: How Jackson Funeral Impacts Your Shows!

According to CBS, THE YOUNG & THE RESTLESS will air today on the East Coast at 11 a.m., with THE BOLD & THE BEAUTIFUL airing as 12:30 p.m. The Michael Jackson funeral will begin airing at 1 p.m., with AS THE WORLD TURNS pre-empted.

On the West Coast, B&B will air at 12:30 p.m., with Y&R following at 1 p.m.

ABC is expected to nationally pre-empt ALL MY CHILDREN and ONE LIFE TO LIVE. GENERAL HOSPITAL is scheduled to air, although may be pre-empted if funeral coverage runs longer than anticipated.

I’m all for mourning MJ, but with so many channels devoting itself to the proceedings, maybe an alternative would have been a good idea.
